This timeline of their storied history abides by the dating system commonly used in Star Wars, which uses the events of A New Hope as a central point. The destruction of the first Death Star in the Battle of Yavin is the galaxy's paramount event, and everything else is dated by the number of years before that event (BBY) and after (ABY). With their story beginning about 30 years before this battle and ending just before it takes place, here's Clone Force 99's full Star Wars timeline.
32-22 BBY: Before The Clone Wars
The Bad Batch Is Given Their Mutations & Enhancements
At some point in the decade before the Clone Wars begin at the First Battle of Geonosis in 22 BBY, the Bad Batch is created on Kamino, and they're taken to the Kaminoan scientist Nala Se's private lab to receive their mutations and enhancements. Clone Force 99 as a collective is too young to remember this taking place, though Omega, who is a pure clone of Jango Fett without accelerated aging, is old enough to remember this. The members of the Bad Batch then spend their years training on Kamino before officially becoming the elite Clone Force 99 squadron.
The Bad Batch's CT numbers reflect their birth order, which is as follows: Hunter (CT-9901), Tech (CT-9902), Wrecker (CT-9903), and Crosshair (CT-9904).
22-20 BBY: The Clone Wars Rage On
Clone Force 99 Completes A Mission On The Moon Hylanth
Little is still known about Clone Force 99's missions during the war, aside from a particular endeavor on the moon Hylanth, which is located in the Outer Rim. The Bad Batch is sent there to take care of Dr. Krail and his modified battle droids, unaware of the fact that this Separatist scientist was hoping for them specifically to show up. It doesn't take much for Clone Force 99 to defeat his droids and capture the scientist, preventing him from creating any more of these surprisingly dangerous droids.
19 BBY: The End Of The War & The Rise Of The Galactic Empire
The Bad Batch Rescues Echo During The Battle Of Anaxes
In the final months of the Clone Wars, Clone Force 99 is requested by Commander Cody to assist with a mission during the Anaxes campaign to locate the source of a Separatist algorithm that's been predicting all the Republic's moves. After Tech discovers the algorithm is spewing the CT number of ARC trooper Echo, who was previously thought to be dead during a mission at the Citadel, Captain Rex, Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, and the Bad Batch track the signal to Skako Minor. There, they find Echo alive in stasis, and they successfully rescue him.

Clone Wars Timeline Explained: When Each Season Takes Place (Including The Bad Batch)
All seven non-chronological seasons of The Clone Wars take place within a three-year period, but where does one year end and the next begin?
Clone Force 99 continues to join Rex and Skywalker in the key battle of the Anaxes campaign, where Echo uses his new cybernetics to help the Republic by using the Separatists' "algorithm" against them. Though initially suspicious of Echo's loyalties, the Bad Batch come to not only respect but also celebrate Echo's ability to get the job done. After the battle, Hunter invites the ARC trooper to join their squad, and Echo takes him up on the offer - increasing their squad's numbers from four to five.
Clone Force 99 Witnesses Order 66 On Kaller
Months later, the Bad Batch is completing a mission on the planet Kaller when Order 66 is enacted. Because of their mutations, and Echo's experimentation by the Techno Union, their inhibitor chips fail to activate - aside from Crosshair's, which partially activates. Hunter manages to help the Jedi Padawan on this world, Caleb Dume (later known as Kanan Jarrus), get away safely, though he lies about it to Crosshair and the regular clones. Confused by whatever's going on, Clone Force 99 returns to Kamino and awaits further orders.
The Bad Batch Rescues Omega From Kamino & Loses Crosshair
On Kamino, the Bad Batch meets Omega, a young female clone. After being tested by Governor Tarkin and sent to eliminate Republic fighters and civilians on Onderon, Clone Force 99 quickly realizes that the Empire is vastly different from the Republic, and they resolve to go back to Kamino to rescue Omega, who is technically one of their own. Unfortunately, they're captured upon their arrival, and Crosshair is taken to have his inhibitor chip's effects intensified. The Bad Batch makes it off Kamino with Omega, but following Crosshair's attempts to kill them, they're forced to leave him behind.
Clone Force 99 Meets Cid Scaleback On Ord Mantell
Now considered deserters, the Bad Batch struggle to find their place in the galaxy. After helping their friends Cut Lawquane and Suu on Saleucami and having a run-in with the bounty hunter Fennec Shand, whose target is Omega, Clone Force 99 seeks out Cid Scaleback on Ord Mantell, a former contact of the Jedi during the war. Cid turns the Bad Batch into mercenaries, promising to provide them with information, shelter, and protection over their identities in exchange for a large cut of whatever credits they make on their jobs.
The Kaminoans put the bounty out for Omega, as she's their only chance of retaining Jango Fett's pure DNA sample.
The Bad Batch Removes Their Inhibitor Chips & Reunites With Crosshair
Captain Rex eventually finds Clone Force 99 on Ord Mantell, and upon discovering that they haven't yet removed their inhibitor chips, he brings them to a Jedi cruiser on Bracca. Wrecker's chip activates before they can remove it, forcing the Batch to face the horrifying reality of what these chips are capable of. Rex leaves after all their chips have been removed, and just after, Crosshair and the Empire arrive. Their efforts to get through to Crosshair fail, and he nearly kills them inside the cruiser's ion engine before they turn it back on him and escape once again.
Omega Is Taken By Cad Bane & Clone Force 99 Lies Low
Unfortunately, before they can flee Bracca, Hunter is forced into a showdown with the bounty hunter Cad Bane, who shoots the sergeant in the chestplate and successfully takes Omega. Hunter survives, and Clone Force 99 manages to trace Omega and Bane, the latter of whom is distracted by Fennec Shand - allowing Omega to escape and the Batch to intercept her. Afterward, Clone Force 99 lies low by taking jobs with minimal risk, though they do manage to gain Crosshair and the Empire's attention on Ryloth.
The Bad Batch's Failed Rescue Mission On Daro Leads To Hunter's Capture
After receiving a transmission from Captain Rex to help a clone on the planet Daro, the Bad Batch attempts a daring rescue. This mission, however, is far from a success. Though the clone, Gregor, is indeed rescued, he's shot twice during their escape from a heavily fortified Imperial base. Hunter then misses his window of opportunity to escape by falling from the Marauder's boarding ramp. Hunter orders his squad to leave him behind in favor of escaping with their lives, and this leaves him in the hands of Crosshair and the Empire.
Clone Force 99 Returns To Kamino & Witnesses Its Destruction
Crosshair brings Hunter to Kamino with the intention of luring his squad back to their homeworld, and his trap is successful. When the others are with him again, Crosshair kills his Imperial reinforcements and urges his former squad to join the Empire. After refusing, Hunter tries to get through to Crosshair again, but their brother insists he had his inhibitor chip removed a long time ago - though he doesn't specify when. Hunter, forced to stun his brother, still insists on taking Crosshair with them off Kamino, though their escape isn't that easy.

Star Wars' Missing Planet Explained: Why Kamino Was Erased From The Jedi Archives
Kamino has become a major planet in Star Wars movies and TV shows, but it started as a mystery because it was erased from the Jedi archives.
Vice Admiral Edmon Rampart orders the destruction of Tipoca City with the Bad Batch still inside of it, causing the clones to be trapped in the depths of Kamino's waters. With Crosshair having reawakened, tensions are high, but Omega and the droid AZI-3 manage to think of enough solutions to eventually get them all back to the surface safely. Hunter then gives Crosshair the choice to join their squad again or remain with the Empire, and Crosshair chooses the latter, causing Clone Force 99 to leave their brother behind on Kamino.
18 BBY: The Dark Times Begin
The Bad Batch Continues Running Jobs For Cid
The next time Clone Force 99 is seen, they're very active as mercenaries for Cid. Echo is starting to have doubts about this, insisting that they should be doing more to fight the Empire and help other clones. Hunter, however, is hoping to earn enough to buy Omega's freedom and allow her to have a childhood. They complete a mission to Serenno, Count Dooku's homeworld, but fail to get any pieces of his war chest after things go awry, including Tech breaking his leg. This endeavor, however, places them back on Rampart's radar.
Crosshair Reunites With Commander Cody
Meanwhile, Crosshair is still with the Empire, even after he barely manages to survive alone on Kamino for a month. In one of his first missions back, he's hand-selected by Commander Cody, who's also still serving the Empire - despite the clone's growing suspicions about the Empire's true nature, thanks to the dwindling effects of his inhibitor chip. This mission causes Cody to go AWOL shortly after, though not without inspiring a rebellious and doubtful spirit inside of Crosshair.
Clone Force 99's Mission On Coruscant Backfires & Echo Leaves
Captain Rex yet again reaches out to the Bad Batch for their assistance in a mission on Coruscant, in which they endeavor to prevent the Imperial Senate from passing the Defense Recruitment Bill. To do this, Clone Force 99 and Rex acquire the logs from Rampart's Star Destroyer, which prove that he ordered the destruction on Kamino. Unfortunately, Emperor Palpatine manages to spin this on the clones, who carried out Rampart's orders without question, allowing the bill to pass. This experience inspires Echo to leave the Bad Batch in favor of helping Rex's fledgling clone rebellion.
The Bad Batch Leaves Cid's & Seeks Refuge On Pabu
After Cid fails to help Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, and Omega with a job gone wrong, Clone Force 99 ultimately resolves to abandon her and Ord Mantell completely with the help of their pirate friend Phee Genoa. She takes them to the island of Pabu, a place that harbors refugees seeking asylum. The group finds peace there as Hunter imagines a future for his squad and a childhood for Omega. Omega's training, however, still continues on this peaceful island, particularly with Tech giving her flight lessons.
Crosshair Kills An Imperial Officer On Barton IV & Is Imprisoned
In the midst of this, Crosshair's allegiance to the Empire quickly changes. A mission to the harsh outpost on Barton IV with the Imperial Lieutenant Nolan, who makes his distaste for clones very obvious, opens Crosshair's eyes fully to his mistreatment. After trying to save his new comrade Mayday, just for him to die due to the lieutenant's refusal to offer him medical assistance, Crosshair kills Nolan. This lands him in an Imperial prison on Mount Tantiss, where the cruel Doctor Royce Hemlock interrogates and tortures him for information on Clone Force 99's whereabouts.
Tech Dies During Clone Force 99's Failed Rescue Mission
After Crosshair briefly escapes his cell to send the Bad Batch a warning to remain in hiding, the squad - with Echo's help - ultimately decides to attempt a rescue mission. They travel to Eriadu, where Hemlock is attending an Imperial conference, with plans to track his shuttle back to Tantiss. Unfortunately, they run right into Saw Gerrera's own mission to kill these Imperial officials, and they're caught in the crossfire of the chaos when their swift escape via rail line goes astray. In his efforts to save his squad, Tech is forced to sacrifice his life by falling from the railcar.
Cid Betrays The Bad Batch & Omega Is Captured
With no Imperial shuttle to trace and severe injuries to treat, Clone Force 99 is forced to stop at Cid's on Ord Mantell to recover. Hunter, Wrecker, Echo, and Omega, still devastated by the loss of Tech, are utterly unprepared for Cid to betray them to the Empire. Hemlock arrives with his own forces, intent on taking Omega to make Nala Se comply with his experiments. Initially arresting Hunter and Wrecker, Omega tries to save them, but is instead taken into custody. Hunter and Wrecker escape with Echo's help, but they're too late to save Omega, who's taken to Tantiss.
Omega & Crosshair Are Imprisoned Together As Clone Force 99's Search Goes On
Omega is quickly, albeit briefly, reunited with Crosshair on Tantiss, though the two are separated for most of their time inside the mountain. Omega is once again Nala Se's lab assistant, though she visits Crosshair in his cell as often as she can. Unbeknownst to Omega, Crosshair is undergoing a severely traumatizing process that seeks to condition him into a specialized assassin, though he refuses to comply. This leads to Crosshair gaining a tremor in his right hand, greatly affecting his ability to shoot on target.
Meanwhile, Hunter and Wrecker cross the galaxy looking for Omega, while Echo continues to work with Rex for a similar end goal of locating Tantiss. Hunter and Wrecker eventually get a lead that brings them to one of Hemlock's old labs, which has already been destroyed by orbital bombardment, but not without them coming across stranded clone cadets. After they transport the cadets to Pabu safely, the duo continues their search for Omega, crossing the galaxy for a fifth time in hopes of finding her.
Omega & Crosshair Escape Mount Tantiss & The Bad Batch Reunites
During Omega's stay on Tantiss, the female clone scientist Emerie Karr has been taking samples of Omega's blood, but Nala Se has been secretly destroying them before they can be tested. On one particular occasion, however, Nala Se cannot destroy the sample, and she urges Omega to make her escape. With Nala Se's light assistance, Omega manages to break Crosshair out of his cell, and the two of them make an escape from Tantiss just as Omega's sample is tested - and yields results that are desirable to Hemlock's experimentation: Omega's blood can withstand a high M-count.
This experimentation is a part of Project Necromancer, Palpatine's cloning-based contingency plan to live beyond his Empire by creating a Force-sensitive clone of himself.
With Omega now an imperative part of Hemlock's operation, he orders that they let Crosshair and Omega get away safely, with plans to pursue them afterward. The two of them crash-land on a random world, where they have to barter their way to getting another means of transportation. Once they manage to obtain a shuttle, they rendezvous with Hunter and Wrecker on a remote world near Ryloth, where the remaining members of Clone Force 99 at last reunite. Tensions between Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair, however, remain high.
Crosshair Returns To Barton IV & Makes Amends With Hunter
Echo returns to Pabu and reunites with the Bad Batch as he seeks to help them decrypt Nala Se's datapad, which Omega had used to break out of Tantiss, in hopes of getting the coordinates to the base. Needing Imperial hardware to slice into it, Crosshair suggests Barton IV, the outpost where he killed Lieutenant Nolan. He keeps this information from the rest of the Bad Batch, though Hunter suspects that Crosshair is hiding something. They have a heated confrontation just before a giant wyrm attacks, forcing them to work together - and helping them to make amends.
Clone Force 99 Encounters CX-2 & Searches For Answers About Omega
Rex and his clone forces encounter a mysterious clone assassin and discover that Omega is a top priority target for the Empire. Rex summons Clone Force 99 to his base on Teth, where he reveals this information to them. Unfortunately, the clone assassin CX-2 tracks the captured assassin and kills him, just before attempting to do the same to everyone else in favor of catching Omega. CX-2's attempt is unsuccessful, even with the assistance of Commander Wolffe, who ultimately lets Rex, his clone allies, and the Bad Batch go, despite his continued allegiance to the Empire.

Does [SPOILER] Have The Force? The Bad Batch Season 3 Twist Explained
The newest episode of The Bad Batch included a major twist about one character's connection to the Force, and it could change the entire show.
Now aware of the Empire's search for her, Clone Force 99 seeks information about Omega and her M-count, which is the only information they have. Hunter and Wrecker even help Fennec Shand with a bounty to acquire information from her, and in exchange, she sends Asajj Ventress their way. Ventress warns Hunter and Crosshair of what's to come for Omega now that her M-count is of concern, motivating them to make an expedited yet hopefully temporary egress from Pabu.
Omega Is Recaptured & The Bad Batch Makes Their Way To Tantiss
Unfortunately, the Bad Batch is too late. CX-2 tracks down Clone Force 99 on Pabu and destroys the Marauder, putting Wrecker out of commission and cutting off their only means of escape. Despite Hunter and Crosshair's best efforts, Omega ultimately gives herself up to save the people of Pabu, with no way of tracking her. The Bad Batch immediately sets out to find her, springing Rampart from prison to make him aid in their search. Though they cannot get the coordinates, they do find a way to get to Tantiss, and they launch their rescue mission without any backup.
Echo rejoins the Bad Batch after they've sprung Rampart from the Imperial prison.
Clone Force 99 Rescues Omega & Destroys Mount Tantiss
Clone Force 99's fight on Tantiss is rough, with Echo left alone inside the base while Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair struggle through the jungle to get to the base. Meanwhile, Omega has been finding her own means of escape from the vault, where she's been held with four other children. She frees the Zillo Beast to give them a proper distraction, allowing her brothers to infiltrate. They, however, are stopped by Hemlock's group of CX assassins, and while Omega manages to reunite with Echo and earn her freedom, their other three brothers are captured.
