A homemade Big Daddy costume from BioShock has fans thrilled and terrified at the same time. The 2007 atmospheric shooter had some incredibly memorable locations and enemy designs, and the Big Daddy was one of them. Big Daddies are massive bad guys that resembled old metallic diving suits with a drill in place of one hand. Catching sight of a Big Daddy, or the Little Sister who usually accompanied them, was enough to strike fear into even the most courageous player.
StalwartStud on Reddit has captured the essence of the Big Daddy perfectly, recreating the iconic BioShock monster in a strikingly detailed costume. The costume stands at over seven feet tall and has glowing orbs on the face and an impressive level of detail.
StalwartStud worked on the costume on and off for about two years. The Big Daddy is strikingly life-like, resembling a great hulking beast of metal. According to its creator, though, the entire chassis doesn't actually weigh too much because it's made of foam (although it's apparently uncomfortable to walk in thanks to the length of the arms).
BioShock Big Daddy Cosplay Is As Impressive As It Is Terrifying
Fans Love It, But Wouldn't Want To Encounter It Alone At Night
The cosplay by StalwartStud doesn't just replicate the external look of the Big Daddy, but also captures its menacing nature. The costume's lights change from neutral yellow to an alarming red, which longtime BioShock fans will recognize as a sign that they've been spotted. The result is both incredibly impressive and terrifying at the same time.

Everything We Know About BioShock 4
Rumors have been circulating about BioShock 4 for over a decade, but it can be difficult to separate them from the scant few facts about the sequel.
The costume has many fans in awe, and imagining how scared they'd be if they came face-to-face with the hulking beast. Reddit user captjacksparrowshat notes that this would be an awesome Halloween costume sure to scare all the kids off: "I cannot imagine seeing that coming down a dark street during Halloween trick or treating. Kids would be scattering." I-Rolled-My-Eyes adds that the kids wouldn't be the only ones terrified by the costume approaching them in the dark, saying, "Yeah if I saw this wandering at night, I would cross the street hella quick."
All This BioShock Big Daddy Cosplay Needs For Perfection Is A Little Sister
A Little Sister Would Show Off The Big Daddy's Scale
The Big Daddy of BioShock was rarely seen without his companion, the adorable and otherwise defenseless Little Sister. The two made an iconic duo in BioShock – the innocent child and its huge protector. To the players, the Big Daddy was a powerful enemy capable of destroying them with one swing of his arm, but to the Little Sister, he was simply her friend, "Bubbles."
The only thing the awesome Big Daddy cosplay is missing is a Little Sister to accompany it. Adding a Little Sister to the ensemble would also be an amazing way to show scale, and fully display the costume's size and bulk. Even without the Little Sister, though, the Big Daddy cosplay by StalwartStud is an incredible creation and an awesome homage to the beloved original BioShock game.
