Star Wars: Legacy Reborn Officially Released And Available To Check Out Now

Star Wars: The Old Republic may not be as popular as it once was and may be drowned out by the rise of far more successful MMOs, but it is still regularly pulling in thousands of players and even receiving updates. This isn't terribly surprising considering that it remains a rather excellent game, one that still resembles the hard work BioWare poured into establishing it and the Knights of the Old Republic series that preceded it.

Indeed, it remains one of the few highlights in Star Wars media at the moment, especially amidst the controversies surrounding The Mandalorian and its commercial failure at the box office. It is no surprise, then, that Star Wars is returning to this era with a new release titled Legacy Reborn. The project, designed as part of an ongoing celebration of the Old Republic, is sure to delight fans, especially those with reverence and nostalgia for the iconic MMO.

As fans continue to desperately hope that the long-gestating and potentially never-releasing Knights of the Old Republic remake gets gameplay any time soon, it makes sense for them to turn to the older titles, including the critically acclaimed MMO. Should they do so, they'll find a frankly excellent video game, one that, as aforementioned, carries the hallmarks of a great BioWare RPG as well as the staples of a Star Wars epic.

Included within the latter is a phenomenal soundtrack, which, rather unsurprisingly, Star Wars: The Old Republic very much has. Inspired by the original John Williams score, the soundtrack offers a vast range of tracks, many of which will be seared into the brains of anyone who's invested even a modicum of time into its fantastical worlds. Among those tracks is Legacy Reborn, a bombastic track that helps perfectly build tension and add to climactic battles whenever it is played.

To celebrate the upcoming Old Republic update, the official Star Wars: The Old Republic YouTube channel has begun uploading select tracks from the game, including the aforementioned Legacy Reborn. These have already garnered thousands of views from dedicated fans who want to relive their favorite moments from the MMO through the incredible pieces of music that scored them. Alongside Legacy Reborn, the following tracks have also been added:

The Enigma
The Betrayal
Khar Shian
Bitter Ends

These are all tracks that were composed by Marco Valerio Antonini, Yitong Et Chen, and Gordy Haab, and join the seven other tracks from the game that were added to the official SWTOR YouTube channel a few months ago. It's great to see key tracks from the soundtrack preserved in this way and made available for free for fans to listen to. It's also a huge win for both Star Wars: The Old Republic fans as well as Star Wars itself, which can definitely benefit from the goodwill it'll generate by making these amazing tracks available to the public.
