‘Snapped’ Producer Jupiter Entertainment Eyes Soccer Series After Scoring First-Look Deal With Kickback

EXCLUSIVE: Jupiter Entertainment, the company behind Oxygen’s long-running true-crime series Snapped, is moving into the soccer world.

The company, run by President Patrick Reardon, has struck a first-look deal with Kickback Soccer Media, to develop and produce original soccer-focused series and sports-driven programming for U.S. audiences ahead of the 2026 and 2027 FIFA World Cups.

Jupiter will work with Kickback, whose founders include former CBS Sports host Susannah Fuller, CBS Sports Golazo Network reporter Claudia Pagan and MLS player Mark-Anthony Kaye, on a soccer slate.

It follows Kickback’s launch last year with a trio of podcasts including Soccerwise, Kickback Committee and First Touch. The company’s other founders include CEO John Parker, David Gass, Tom Bogert, and Jordan Angeli.

It is Jupiter’s latest move into soccer content; it recently produced documentary Lions of Mesopotamia, which chronicled the Iraqi national soccer team’s 2007 Asian Cup victory amid civil war.

“Soccer is no longer an emerging sport in the U.S. It’s fully here and ranks as the third most popular sport nationwide and the second most popular among fans under 40. We see a significant opportunity to tell stories that resonate with this rapidly growing audience — one that is seeking context and meaning beyond the matches,” said Reardon. “Our partnership with Kickback brings unmatched credibility, insight and access, enabling us to deliver authentic content as the country prepares to host the world’s largest-ever sporting event.”

“Kickback Soccer Media was founded by an unprecedented collective of the homegrown voices and creatives who’ve spent decades striving for a bigger, more inclusive soccer fan community,” added Kickback CEO John Parker. “This partnership with Jupiter establishes an even more ambitious collaboration for Kickback, that pairs our unparalleled authenticity and access with Jupiter’s premium storytelling capabilities, positioning this partnership to galvanize American soccer’s fandom through these two massive years.”
