Clarence Maclin is the latest addition to the cast of the upcoming Netflix series “Rabbit, Rabbit,” Variety has learned exclusively.

Maclin will appear alongside previously announced series lead Adam Driver as well as cast members Regina Hall, Odessa Young, and Will Poulter.

The logline for the series states, “When an escaped convict (Driver) is cornered by law enforcement at a truck stop, he takes hostages in an effort to bargain for his freedom. But the standoff soon escalates into an unmanageable social experiment with his captives, as well as an emotional poker match with a veteran FBI Crisis Negotiator (Hall) trained in ‘tactical empathy.'”

Maclin will appear in a recurring guest star role, though exact character details are being kept under wraps.

Maclin is best known for starring in and co-writing the critically-acclaimed drama feature “Sing Sing,” which was inspired by his real life and incarceration. The film premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival, where it was acquired by A24 following a bidding war. Maclin shared in the film’s Oscar nomination for best adapted screenplay. He also received a BAFTA nomination for supporting actor and won a Gotham Award for outstanding supporting performance among numerous other nominations and accolades. Next up, he will star in the independent feature “In Starland” written and directed by Ray Panthaki.

Maclin is repped by Gersh and MGMT.
