Halloween masks are unnecessary in this Sims 4 player’s universe, as one fan has created Sims meant to catfish others. There are so many delightful and fun things to do in Sims 4, but sometimes players want to test the boundaries of what is possible during character creation. That rings true in the very interesting characters one Reddit user has shared with other fans of the title.

Reddit user Sardothien12, chronicled all of their “catfishing” Sims on Reddit, presenting Sims that looked like traditional designs at first glance, only for them to be revealed to not even look human. Other Sim players found the reveals hilarious, and a good reminder to have fun with The Sims.

Sardothien12 took to Reddit to show off their “creations” that were so wild to look at, viewers couldn’t help but to crack a smile. The first one showed off a blonde Sim that looked more traditional. After turning to the side, however, her features made her look like she was not from Earth. Another Sim looked pretty from behind, but when she turned around, she had cartoonish eyes that stretched to the top of her head. Fans found these creations absolutely hilarious and served as a reminder of the fun Sims 4 can create.

Most Sims players are guilty of getting a little too invested in their Sims, at least once in a while. Whether it’s the storyline we have set up, or watching their character development either go as intended or completely off the rails, we players spend a lot of time and energy on our Sims. This post, however, serves as a great reminder that we can also just have fun with the game. While the open world is immersive and engaging, it’s important to find a balance.

Create-A-Sim's New Feature In The Sims 4 Update Makes Creating So Much Easier

Thanks to The Sims 4's latest base game update, at least one feature in Create-A-Sims mode is easier than ever ahead of the release of Life & Death.

Making Sims that don’t look like traditional Sims or even humans, is part of the mass appeal of the game. With so many expansion packs, creators can make everything from Aliens, Werewolves, Vampires, and Humans and really customize them to fit whatever their vision could be. Having fun designing the Sim could be a great part of the game experience, even more so than engaging them in a storyline. This post reminded me why I love The Sims 4, and how it can genuinely be a creative way to just have fun and relax without getting too invested.
