Paul Thomas Anderson’s awards-season juggernaut One Battle After Another was the big winner at the Set Decorators Society of America‘s 2025 SDSA Awards, which were handed out Saturday. Warner Bros actioner starring Leonardo DiCaprio took Best Picture and Best Achievement In Décor/Design of a Contemproary Feature Film. One Battle’s set decoration was by Anthony Carlino, with production design by Florencia Martin.

Elsewhere, Focus Features’ Hamnet, from writer-director Chloé Zhao starring Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal, won the SDSA prize for Best Achievement In Décor/Design of a Period Feature Film. And Guillermo del Toro’s Netflix feature Frankenstein, starring Oscar Isaac and Jacob Elordi, went home with the Fantasy or Science Fiction prize.
Wicked: For Good, the second film in Warner Bros’ Broadway adaptation helmed by Jon M. Chu and starring Cynthia Erino and Ariana Grande, took the Comedy or Musical Feature Film prize. Simon Curtis Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale from Focus Feature won the SDSA Award for Period Feature Film.

Last year’s SDSA Awards went to the teams behind A Complete Unknown, Wicked, Conclave and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Wicked production designer Nathan Crowley and set decorator Lee Sandales went on to scoop the Production Design Oscar. The Art Directors Guild’s 30th anniversary Excellence in Production Design Awards will be handed out February 28.
The Set Decorators Society of America, an international group, annually celebrates outstanding work on a wide range of productions.
