Jeff Dodge (he/him), a published author and graduate of Western Washington University, has been a TV news editor for many years and has had the chance to interview multiple reality show stars, including Randy Jackson, Nick Cannon, Heidi Klum, Mel B and John Cena. Fun Fact: he’s been to every single Idol Live! Tour.

Scream 7 is breaking franchise records and will now be available to get scared at home.

Both the digital and physical releases will include several special features, including the featurettes Scar Tissue: The Making of Scream 7, Building Tension: Production Design, and Dance of Death: Stunts, as well as the music video for Ice Nine Kills and Mckenna Grace's "Twisting the Knife" (the extended version will only be available on digital).

Additionally, there will be six deleted scenes (Scott is Ghostface, Chloe and Lucas Connect, Tatum and Ben Say Goodbye, Jessica and Sidney Chat, Tatum and Ben Leave Bar, and Chad and Mindy) that didn't make it into the theatrical cut of the film.

Scream 7, as the title indicates, is the seventh installment in the popular slasher franchise that began in 1996. After 30 years, the film series is still going strong, with Scream 7 grossing $204 million at the global box office, a record high for the franchise and the only installment to surpass $200 million.

The movie drew mostly negative reactions from critics, with a 31% score on Rotten Tomatoes, though audiences, who gave Scream 7 a 75% on the Popcornmeter, have been much more receptive.

Kevin Williamson, who created the franchise and helmed the first two Scream movies in the '90s, returned as director for Scream 7 and co-wrote the script with Guy Busick.

Neve Campbell made her grand return as Sidney Prescott after a salary dispute led the actress to bow out of the sixth film. During her absence, she went on to produce the documentary Swan Song and appeared in the Peacock series Twisted Metal.

Campbell's salary dispute wasn't the only Scream-related issue making headlines in recent years. Melissa Barrera, who starred in Scream (2022) and Scream VI, was reportedly fired from the franchise after making comments that the studio considered antisemitic. Her co-star Jenna Ortega also bowed out shortly after.

Like in the previous installments, the seventh film sees the return of Ghostface, who targets Sidney's daughter this time around, forcing the mother to confront the nightmares of her past.

Campbell's co-stars in Scream 7 include Courteney Cox, David Arquette, McKenna Grace, Matthew Lillard, Joel McHale, Anna Camp, Mark Consuelos, Isabel May, Jasmine Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Roger L. Jackson, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann, Celeste O'Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry and Tim Simons.

Scream 7 will be released on digital platforms on Tuesday, March 31, and on Blu-ray and 4K UHD on June 16, 2026.
