Over the last couple of days, we've seen a couple of these "extreme" bundles list themselves on Newegg and quickly sell out. It does come as a bit of a surprise, as the price of these bundles is not cheap, and they also feature some products that the average user would never make the most out of. However, if you are one of those enthusiasts who could get value from a whopping 128GB of DDR5 RAM, then read on, as this combo may pique your interest.
Spotted today on Newegg is a combo deal that features the aforementioned 128GB (2 x 64GB) of G.Skill Flare X5 288-Pin DDR5 6000 MT/s memory, an AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D CPU, and an MSI MPG X870E Carbon AM5 ATX gaming motherboard for $1,699.99, reduced by $908.99 from the list price of $2,608.98. But the deal doesn't stop there! You also get a 4TB WD Black SN7100 worth $869.99 (on sale for $555.54 at Newegg), a Rosewill Cordless Air Duster valued at $39.99 (on sale for $34.99 at Newegg), and a copy of the upcoming open-world RPG game Crimson Desert at $70 — quite the haul.
The G.Skill X5 Flare RAM Kit in the bundle is a plain-looking pair of RAM sticks coming with no extra RGB lighting on the memory's heat spreaders. Most importantly, however, is that these are 2x 64GB DDR5 6000MT/s sticks for a total of 128GB of memory. If you'd like to have every tab in the world open at once, then this should cover you. The X5 Flare has a CAS latency of CL34 with timings of 34-44-44-96, and a voltage of 1.3.5V. They also come with AMD EXPO bios profiles with optimum settings pre-configured. It's worth pointing out that Newegg is charging $1,699.99 alone. The same price as the entire bundle, that's how crazy RAM prices are right now.
Paired with the large RAM capacity is MSI's MPG X870E Carbon AM5 motherboard, a capable X870E ATX mobo that packs the latest PCIe Gen 5.0, room for up to four M.2 drives, DDR5, WiFi 7, and plenty of USB Type-C ports on the rear IO. Perfect for the accompanying AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D CPU, the 8-core AM5 processor that is now the new fastest kid on the block when it comes to gaming performance, beating out its old stablemate, the 9800X3D, thanks to a small power boost.
As far as the "free" gifts go, the Crimson Desert game and Rosewill air duster are a nice touch, but the 4TB SSD is the standout. WD Black's SN7100 is a Gen 4 TLC SSD with speeds up to 7,250MB/s read and 6,900MB/s write, with a 2,400TBW endurance rating. Perfect for storing a massive games library.
