Sarah Michelle Gellar admits she took a day off of shooting Dexter: Original Sin to see Taylor Swift Eras Tour

Sarah Michelle Gellar is a certified Swiftie and even asked for a day off so that she could go to Miami to catch a show.

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer star, 47, had already seen the show in Los Angeles during the early days of The Eras Tour.

Back then, Swift's latest release, The Tortured Poets Department, wasn't part of her show and Gellar wasn't going to miss that.

So she told her bosses at the production for Dexter: Original Sin that she really needed a Friday off.

She was asked if anything was wrong with her kids, to which she answered, 'I just need to get a Friday off,' before admitting 'Well, I'm going to Miami to see the Eras Tour.'

The I Know What You Did Last Summer actress admitted this while promoting Dexter on The Drew Barrymore Show with co-star Christian Slater, 55.

'He knew it was the only thing I cared about at work,' she said about Slater.

Gellar shares daughter Charlotte, 15, and son Rocky, 12, with husband Freddie Prinze Jr., 48.

'So I got to see [that era],' Gellar gushed. 'And I got to see Florence Welch do Florida [in Florida]. It was next level.'

The former soap star documented both shows on social media. She captioned the shots and video clips from her October trip to Miami with a Taylor lyric.

'Florida!!! It’s one hell of a drug.'

The Cruel Intentions star's daughter Charlotte is also a big fan of Taylor Swift and got to meet the pop superstar in 2018.

'I don’t often put pictures of my kids on here, but last night was truly special,' Gellar wrote at the time.

'Thank you to the incredible @taylorswift for being so kind to Charlotte. She was so in awe, she could barely speak.'

Thank you for being the kind of role model young girls need to see,' she continued.

'Oh and did I mention how awesome the show was?!? I can’t believe Taylor sang 26 songs, each one better than the next!! A truly #gorgeous show!! (I definitely won big Mom points last night),' she gushed.

Sarah's confession comes after she had to clarify something she said about Jennifer Love Hewitt that got taken out of context.

She had an awkward interaction with a reporter when asked about the new I Know What You Did Last Summer movie last summer.

Sarah is not returning to the franchise but her husband is, so she's in a good position to know what's going on with the film.

She said, 'I have nothing to do with that,' before ending the interview by smiling and walking off during the red carpet premiere of Dexter: Original Sin, a prequel to the smash hit Showtime drama Dexter.

A fan posted the exchange to X, formerly known as Twitter, and exclaimed: 'Look at her face!! She hates her so bad! sksksksk.'

Many fans followed suit, leaping to the conclusion that Sarah and Jennifer were feuding.

After that clip went viral recently, SMG took to her Instagram Stories to set the record straight.

'Aspiring actors please note: this deer in the headlights reaction is perfect for when you are excited to see so many old friends in one project but have already stupidly forgotten what NDA means once this month,' penned Gellar.

She wrote the text over top a photo taken of a director's chair on set of the sequel in Sydney.

The post came hours after Hewitt confirmed her return to the I Know What You Did Last Summer horror franchise after 27 years.

'It's never too late to go back. Julie James is returning,' captioned Hewitt, 45, who included a haunting photo of herself on set.

The image captured Hewitt staring into a dirty mirror covered in sticky notes left by the film's ruthless killer.

Alluding to the highly-anticipated sequel's July 18, 2025 release date, Hewitt concluded her caption with: 'I know what you will be doing next summer!'
