Expert reviews and ratings

Hands on: Considering its specs, the pricing makes sense. The Galaxy S25 Edge is close to the S25E+ in many ways, but it has the same 200MP camera sensor as the S25 Ultra, albeit no telephoto camera and a smaller battery than either phone.

Hands on: It can't be said enough: The only thing separating the Edge from the other S25 phones is how thin it is. But that might be enough for some people. I welcome it after years of phones getting way too big and bulky. So, if you miss the smaller phones of years gone by, this one's for you.

Hands on: The Galaxy S25 Edge is the solution to a very simple formula. Take a Galaxy S25 Plus. Shave 1.5mm off the thickness by removing the zoom camera and shrinking the battery. Add a 200MP camera sensor. Wrap it in titanium. Voila: Galaxy S25 Edge!

Hands on: Now if it was exactly like the Galaxy S25 Ultra in every way (cameras included), but in a much smaller and lighter package, then I think I’d be more impressed — but it’s not. This isn’t a generation defining change, like the Razr or iPod Nano.

Hands on: It’s hard to draw any concrete conclusions on whether the S25 Edge’s compromises for a smaller device footprint are worth it, but expect our review in the next few weeks.

The Samsung S25 Edge has the same size screen, the same processor, and the same software as the Galaxy S25+, but a less technically impressive camera and a smaller capacity battery. It couldn’t replace the Galaxy S25+ in the range because of this, and the only reasons Samsung is offering to tempt you into buying it over the S25+ is its size, weight, and accompanying design.

Hands on: That said, from a usability standpoint, it looks like Samsung could have a winner on its hands – though I’ll save my final thoughts for once I’ve spent more time with the device.
