Sam Wood and his wife Snezana have broken their silence after he was charged with domestic violence offences following an incident in Noosa on the weekend.
The Bachelor star, 46, was arrested on Saturday after police attended a property on the popular tourist town's main street where he was staying.
A police spokesperson said on Sunday that officers attended the Hastings Street address at about 9pm on Saturday 'after receiving reports of alleged domestic violence.'
'Police have charged a 46-year-old Victorian man with domestic violence offences early this morning, 4 October,' the spokesperson said.
'The man has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm (domestic violence) and strangulation in a domestic setting.'
Wood has been refused bail. He is due to front Maroochydore Magistrates Court later today.
The couple broke their silence about the alleged incident on Monday morning in a shared statement on social media.
'This is a difficult time for all of us, we are working through this as a family and are thoroughly co-operating with the authorities,' they said.

Wood's follower count has also fallen dramatically, dropping by thousands.
The arrest happened on the same weekend that Wood announced a social media 'comeback'.
'The comeback is personal. It's an apology to myself,' the post, shared on Instagram on Sunday, reads.
Wood added in the accompanying caption: 'I see transformations every day and everyone's driving "why" is different.
'You don't want to beat yourself up about what is in the past, but you can definitely gain strength and motivation for the future.'
With the reality TV personality behind bars, it's likely the post was pre-scheduled to be shared on Sunday.
The fitness entrepreneur married Snezana in a outdoor ceremony in Byron Bay in 2018 after meeting her on The Bachelor Australia in 2015.

They went on to have three children together, Willow, eight, Charlie, seven, and Harper, four.
They also co-parent Eve, 21, who is Snezana's daughter from a previous relationship.
The Woods live in Brighton, Victoria, where they recently purchased a $7 million home in February.
The celebrity trainer funnelled his Bachelor fame into building his highly successful fitness empire.
Wood founded the fitness and training business 28 by Sam Wood, which he sold in 2022 for $71 million, and he remains the owner of The Woodshed gym in Melbourne.
Wood remained the face of the online platform under the new owner.
Just four months ago, Wood was announced as the face of Ollo For Women, a newly launched platform focused on medical weight loss, nutrition and telehealth.
The company is aimed at women aged 40 and over, with Wood serving as its main public face across media and promotional campaigns.
Wood came under scrutiny in November 2025 after it emerged the Australian Taxation Office was pursuing him for more than $7 million in unpaid taxes.
The tax office's Deputy Commissioner launched civil proceedings against Wood in October, seeking allegedly unpaid amounts relating to three consecutive financial years ending June 30, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
A recent court update shows the dispute was resolved by agreement, with the case dismissed without adjudication in September.
