Ryan Phillippe Shares "Hot" Throwback Picture With Ex-Wife Reese Witherspoon
Ryan Phillippe has nothing but good intentions with his latest thirst trap.
The Big Sky actor shared a couple of shirtless photos of himself soaking up the sun during an unusually warm December day. In the snaps, Ryan is wearing green gym shorts, Calvin Klein underwear and a baseball hat as he poses on a porch with his hands on his hips. Two other slides are close-ups of a ladybug in his hand.
"Mid Atlantic east coast: Cannot believe what a beautiful warm day I’m experiencing here and what that does for my mood," the Delaware native captioned the Dec. 17 Instagram post. "Even the ladybug thinks it’s spring. Praise God."
In a fifth slide, the 50-year-old sits fully-clothed in a big leather chair while holding a smiling baby. He said of the photo, "Bonus pic of me lookin like a grandpa w my grand-niece Sage."
Ryan—who share kids Ava Phillippe, 24, and Deacon Phillippe, 20, with ex-wife Reese Witherspoonas well as daughter Kai, 12, with ex Alexis Knapp—is no stranger to posting thirst traps on social media. In fact, he raised eyebrows back in July with a since-deleted Instagram carousel post featuring a handful of shirtless snaps of himself at the beach.
While the Cruel Intentions costars both moved on from their relationship—Reese shares 11-year-old son, Tennessee, with ex Jim Toth, while Ryan went on to date Abbie Cornish and Paulina Slagter—the former couple has developed a successful coparenting relationship for their kids.
"It's so important as divorced parents to keep that connection," Ryan said of coparenting on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2010. "It makes the kids feel better. They know the parents are interacting and with each other, and we show up to all the...we go to all the school events together and, yeah, we're there for each other."
"We've done a really good job at that," he added. "Our kids are happy and healthy and doing awesome."

As for why their seven-year marriage didn't work out, the I Know What You Did Last Summer actor has pointed to the fact that they were both in their early 20s when they got married.
"I think more of the problem was age, you know, when we got together so young," Ryan shared on Larry King Now in March 2015. "I think it can create issues—two people in this industry—because there's so much noise that goes around with it."
