Actor Awards 2026: Ryan Michelle Bathe Reveals How Sterling K. Brown “Maintains the Sexy”
Sterling K. Brown works hard for his award-worthy physique.
The Paradise star walked the red carpet for the 2026 Actor Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles with wife Ryan Michelle Bathe, who shared how her husband stays in top physical form for his nude scenes in the Hulu political thriller.
“I know what it takes to maintain the sexy,” Ryan exclusively told Keltie Knight on Live From E!: Actor Awards 2026 March 1. “This man works his—I was gonna say, buns off, but he works them up.” (See every star on the Actor Awards red carpet here.)
And Sterling’s impressive fitness regimen is all the more remarkable as the actor—who is nominated alongside Billy Crudup, Walton Goggins, Gary Oldman and Noah Wyle for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series—approaches his milestone 50th birthday in April, which he revealed will be quite a humbling affair.
“We’re gonna have a roast—people are gonna make fun of me,” the This Is Us alum teased. “My wife is in charge of the whole thing. I thought I was in charge, and then she was like, ‘No, no, I got this.’ And so I'm looking forward to it.”
While some actors may require a bit of mental preparation to strip down onscreen, Sterling previously shared that he fully embraces his NSFW scenes.

“Is it hard? No. Why? Because I am actually an exhibitionist,” he told People in January 2025. “My wife is like, ‘Will you please put some clothes on?’ I said, ‘Only if I have to.’ So I really don't care. It doesn't phase me in the least.”
In fact, the Emmy winner plans to continue baring it all for as long as he possibly can—or at least as long as he’s asked to.
“Hopefully people will still want to see it,” he continued. “They may not. I don't know. We'll see.”
