Warning: There are spoilers ahead for Fallout season 2, episode 8, "The Strip."After the Fallout season 2 finale, showrunner Geneva Robertson-Dworet reveals what future seasons hold for Robert House (Justin Theroux).

In Fallout season 2's ending, House appears in a computerized form and is transferred to a Pip-Boy device that Cooper Howard/the Ghoul (Walton Goggins) wears as he heads toward the vault where he believes his family resides. After discovering that his family is seemingly in Colorado, the Ghoul leaves the Pip-Boy behind and continues his journey, feeling hopeful for the first time in centuries. When Lucy MacLean (Ella Purnell) and Maximus (Aaron Moten) are in House's penthouse, though, he pops back up on the large screen.

While speaking with Nerdist, Robertson-Dworet was asked if House still has a future in the series and if there is more left to explore in his relationship with Coop. The showrunner confirms that there is more to explore with House, including his history with Coop and the algorithm about how the world will end. Check out her comments below:

I do. I think they have a real history that we’re excited to unearth more of. I think House is deeply fascinated by Coop. And that he can’t quite understand why his algorithm keeps telling him that this figure is so important. And Coop has done a big move that confirms that this season, but is there even more to it? So, we’re excited to keep exploring those two. And I think they’re amazing on screen together, Walton and Justin have such a hilarious, incredible dynamic.

The momentary flicker of House on his penthouse screen at the end of the finale was a promising sign that his story wasn't over. There is still a great deal about his computerized form that remains a mystery and can be answered. Despite the Ghoul being headed toward Colorado, a present-day reunion between the two characters seems inevitable as well, especially after Robertson-Dworet's remarks.

As she indicates, there is also more to show between House and Coop in the flashbacks before the bombs dropped. In the season 2 finale, House calls Coop before he is arrested, telling him that he is not responsible for what is about to happen. The past and present timelines have now made it clear that the Enclave is Fallout's real villain, forcing both characters to make difficult decisions, which in the flashbacks could contribute to the bombs ultimately being dropped.

While Theroux has shared numerous scenes with Goggins so far, he has not interacted with many of the other actors. Fallout season 3 has the potential to change that, particularly in the present. The Ghoul is no longer in New Vegas, but Lucy, Maximus, Thaddeus (Johnny Pemberton), Hank MacLean (Kyle MacLachlan), Caesar's Legion, and the New California Republic are, with a full-on war about to break out between the two factions. Additionally, House always has his own agenda, and that could tie into Hank's comment to Lucy about the Wasteland being the real experiment instead of the vaults.
