Robert Carlyle has reportedly landed himself a role alongside the all-star cast in Guy Ritchie's The Gentlemen.
The actor, 65, famed for his appearance in Trainspotting as the violent sociopath Begbie, is set to appear alongside Theo James, Vinnie Jones and Kaya Scodelario.
Sources have claimed the Scotsman will be announced in the next cast after it was renewed for a third season.
Meanwhile, Meghan Markle's hopes of starring on the Netflix show will be shattered after sources confirmed she will not be cast in the new series.
A source said: 'The Gentlemen is going from strength to strength and everyone is desperate to make it work.
'Robert is an industry icon and Theo himself made it clear he wanted him to be part of the show.'

'Meghan though is now out of contention. There was a meeting but it's been decided she won't be part of the cast,' they added to The Sun.
The Daily Mail has approached Robert's representatives and Netflix for comment.
Theo, when asked about the Sussex rumours, joked: 'No. Prince Harry is playing one of my love interests. So that's the Meghan Markle thing.'
He later said: 'I think it's a spurious rumour. She'd fit in well because she's actually from the Royal Family, but I think the practicalities of that are impossible.'
Fellow Londoner Ray Winstone added: 'It's the first I've heard of it,' but added that she would be a 'better-looking' addition than him.
And Hugh Bonneville was equally dismissive, describing it as 'a genius bit of marketing by the person who dreamt up that idea'. And new star Maya said: 'I’d be the last person to know.'
Lead actor Theo previously gushed about Robert and said he would love for him to appear on the show.
'In terms of people I would like to see on the show, I would like someone psychopathic like old-school Robbie Carlyle,' he said.
Maya Jama, who made her scripted acting debut in the second series, is also said to be returning to season three.

The latest series saw James's character Eddie take on the Glass family's empire as he made a bid to resume complete control of his estate.
At the start of the trailer, he says: '400 years ago, this estate spread out as far as the eye could see,' over sweeping shots of his sprawling grounds. 'I want it all back.'
However, the path to total domination never runs smooth, especially when the opponent is drug baron Bobby.
Bobby is aware of Eddie and Susie's ambitions to expand their criminal empire, as he tells them he knows they are hoping he might support their efforts to 'decriminalize marijuana'.
