Rita Ora stuns in quirky bikini as she celebrates Australia Day with husband Taika Waititi on Gold Coast beach

Rita Ora and her director husband Taika Waititi were all smiles as they soaked up the sun on Australia Day with friends on a Gold Coast beach on Sunday.

The couple appeared carefree, embracing the laid-back Aussie lifestyle as they enjoyed the warm weather and sandy shores.

The British pop star, 34, turned heads in a chic and playful outfit.

Rita sported a vibrant, retro-inspired bikini top featuring bold yellow polka dots, perfectly paired with relaxed blue and white pinstriped shorts.

Her accessories added a touch of whimsy, including oversized yellow-framed sunglasses and a striped cap, keeping her beach look fun and functional.

She carried a quirky crochet cactus bag adorned with playful embellishments, alongside a Gucci belt bag slung across her waist.

Her hair was styled in wet braids, and minimal makeup highlighted her natural glow.

Rita's tattoos were on full display as she walked barefoot along the sand, carrying a lightweight green and white striped shirt for when the cool breeze kicked in.

Taika, 49, looked equally casual, embracing the Aussie beach culture with a pale pink T-shirt, orange board shorts, and a yellow cap.

Sporting sunglasses and a salt-and-pepper beard, the filmmaker carried towels and seemed to enjoy the relaxed day out with his famous wife.

After spending time with friends by the water, the couple was seen strolling along the shoreline, taking in the serene surroundings.

Rita and Taika’s effortless connection was evident as they walked side-by-side, making their way back to their nearby hotel.

The pair, who wed last year in an intimate ceremony, have been spending more time Down Under, with Taika currently working on several projects.

Despite being replaced as a panellist on ITV’s The Masked Singer show by Maya Jama, and her pop career seeming to be a bit quiet, Rita is still hitting the big notes when it comes to making money.

The Mail's Richard Eden revealed this week that she earned £5million last year, on the back of music sales, television and acting work and profit on a property investment. 

Newly filed accounts for her three companies, Rora Properties, Ora Multi-services and Ora Live, disclose that she had total assets of £27million in the year to last April, before bills.

Rita has hinted that she left The Masked Singer to make new music.
