In addition to cosmetic issues and personal preference, there are several reasons why people choose to remove their breast implants, including pain and complications, such as shifting of the implant or leaking.
According to Cleveland Clinic, the 'most common reason to remove implants is that scar tissue hardens around the implants' which can cause discomfort.
Grammer has battled cancer twice and been a strong advocate for early detection over the years.
In 2013, she was diagnosed with stage 2 endometrial cancer, which she treated with a radical hysterectomy.
Four years later, she revealed she underwent surgery after learning she had squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), a common type of skin cancer.

While speaking about surviving endometrial cancer, Camille said her life changed 'psychologically' in 'so many' ways.
'When you're first diagnosed, it's surreal. I was scared. But my mom survived stage 3 ovarian cancer. I was diagnosed with stage 2 uterine cancer. I was confident that I was going to survive it, because I watched my mom survive stage 3. And if I didn't have that, I would've been more doubtful,' she said in a 2016 interview with Oncology Nursing News.
She continued: 'I knew that I had a long road; I knew it was going to be difficult. But I had a positive attitude — I had in my head that I was going to survive it. I think that helps. I think many people going through this have to stay positive. A lot of it is mind over matter.'
In 2022, she lost her mom to Maureen Wilson at the age of 75 due to kidney and bladder cancer.

At the time, her representative confirmed the news to People.
'Camille Grammer's mother passed away peacefully at her home in New Jersey this morning surrounded by family,' her rep noted. 'She succumbed after a long and courageous fight with cancer.'
The representative added that 'Camille and her [mother] were both afflicted with 'genetic' cancers and were warriors for the cause for the past decade.'
While paying tribute to her mom on Instagram, Camille described her as a 'strong beautiful warrior who fought to the very end.'
''Her strength and endurance was an inspiration to so many. She lived her life to the fullest. Her love and sense of humor made us feel better during difficult time,' she wrote. 'I will miss you everyday. I love you so much! ❤️'
