But the registry assembled by Roald Dahl's grandson Ned Donovan featured far more modern luxuries such as a pizza oven and a waffle maker.
Guests at the wedding of Donovan and US TikToker Megan Tomlin, both 32, were pointed towards an £810 knife set, a £281 handmade rattan tray and a £138 personalised Tricia Lowenfield ceramic ice bucket.
A £300 Ooni pizza oven and a £112 waffle maker also made the list.
The couple flew over from their home in Charleston, South Carolina, to get married last week at Babington House, an exclusive members' club in Somerset.

Among the guests were Donovan's half-sister, ex-model and author Sophie Dahl, 48, and his godfather Sir Nicholas Coleridge, 69, author and former media executive.
Donovan, a journalist turned US police officer, was previously married to Princess Raiyah of Jordan, 40.
