The Ghost in the Shell is making a huge comeback in 2026 with a brand-new anime series that more faithfully adapts the original manga, including its iconic '80s aesthetic. While this is likely the Ghost in the Shell release everyone will be talking about in 2026, and for good reason, there are actually several other projects related to the series that are dropping this year, many of which hardcore fans especially will want to keep an eye on.

These are especially well-timed, as, if the show continues to prove that Ghost in the Shell is one of the greatest cyberpunk anime of all time, then it is undoubtedly going to garner a whole new flock of fans. Specifically, this latest GitS project, is ideal for fans of the show who also dabble in video games, as it appears targeted toward gamers.

Keyboard manufacturer, IQUNIX, has released a brand-new set of Ghost in the Shell-themed keyboards designed specifically for pro-level gamers and collectors. Both are part of the company's EV63 lineup of premium keyboards, sporting aluminum cases, PBT keycaps, and IQUNIX's proprietary software, HyperCore V3. It's a functionally and mechanically impressive keyboard that comes with full modding support, including customizable magnetic switches, 8000Hz polling rate, and KEYTOK Nova switches.

Of course, like the other Ghost in the Shell 2026 projects, it is the theming that is all important (although the impressive specs certainly help justify the high price point.) Fortunately, IQUNIX has done a phenomenal job across both color options by including numerous details from across the manga, films, and anime that fans are sure to appreciate. The two options are Shell Core, which is a neon green keyboard with translucent key caps, and Cyber Blue, which is a black keyboard with neon blue lights.

The Cyber Blue variant features the iconic image of Motoko hooked up to wires while holding a machine gun from the 1995 film's posters across the right-hand side of the keyboard. There are plenty of other amazing details, including across the back of the keyboards, but those are best saved for fans to discover. Both the Shell Core and Cyber Blue Ghost in the Shell EV63 keyboards cost $249 and can be purchased from the official IQUNIX website. It is worth noting that the Ghost in the Shell EV63 keyboard is more expensive than the regular model, which costs $169.

However, this is obviously a collector's item, one that really appeals to the hardcore subset of Ghost in the Shell fans who also play competitive games religiously. Fortunately, for those who feel it is worth the investment, IQUNIX's EV63 keyboards are critically acclaimed and used by pro-level esports teams, and therefore a good recommendation for anyone who takes gaming seriously. These Ghost in the Shell models are also just incredibly cool, so that's always worth taking into consideration.
