The Red Dead Redemption series is largely on the backburner right now, with developer Rockstar Games focusing its attention on the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto 6. Even so, there can still be occasional treats for Red Dead Redemption 2 fans, especially if they're willing to look outside official channels.

The Man With No Name mod, created by Nexus Mods user DogProMan, brings the style that Clint Eastwood wears in Sergio Leone's Dollars films to Red Dead Redemption 2. A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly are famous for quite a number of reasons, including Leone's direction and incredible scores from Ennio Morricone, but Clint Eastwood's memorable presence and undeniable style are equally important.

DogProMan's mod breaks down components of the Man with No Name's look into different purchasable goods, ranging from a new trapper's cloak that serves as his iconic poncho to appropriate weapon equipment. It's not the first mod to pay homage to Clint Eastwood, but it might be the most complete and attractive package to date. DogProMan notes that the mod makes some fixes to clipping issues, along with adding "the one and only publicly available Clint Eastwood gunbelt and holster for RDR2."

Additionally, DogProMan has exciting ideas for the future of the mod. As long as he remains "motivated to finish what he started," DogProMan plans to add a poncho version of the Legendary Panther Cloak, further tweak the gunbelt and holster, and more.

This isn't his first time meddling with character styles, as his earlier Beta Rifle Holster mod implements "Arthur's epic beta rifle holster." Both of these mods dropped in the past couple of months, so hopefully they're just the start of many more to come.

With no Red Dead Redemption 3 on the immediate horizon, RDR2 remains the premier way to experience the American West in video game form. As long as modders keep adding treats like this, the variety of experiences it can offer only continues to grow, making Red Dead Redemption 2 unlikely to lose the crown any time soon.
