Hollywood fan favourite Rebel Wilson is heading to the UK to make her next film.

The 44-year-old Australian born actress is co-starring in a new Christmas film called Tinsel Town alongside 24 actor Kiefer Sutherland.

Set for a festive season streaming release in December 2025, Wilson plays a choreographer for a small town stage company in England's north who becomes involved with a newcomer played by Sutherland.

Trade paper Variety reported on Friday that the film, produced by Sky and Future Artists Entertainment and set to debut on Sky Cinema, is already underway.

Plot details released by the filmmakers reveal that the film centres on a fictional action 'star' called Bradley Mack played by Sutherland, whose career looks over after he is dumped from his own franchise.

Hoping to relaunch his name as a stage star in London's West End, Mack heads to England, but he ends up booked to play a lead role in Cinderella for a tiny stage company in a remote northern village.

As rehearsals grind on Mack finds a connection with Jill (Wilson), who gives him a spark to move on from the disappointments of his past.

'I love British Christmas movies,' Wilson said in a statement.

She continued: 'Because in Australia we’re just on the beach having a BBQ – and so now I feel like I get to have a classic British Christmas, freezing my t***s off but laughing and sledding all the way!'

The film is being directed by Chris Foggin who made the successful 2023 Netflix comedy drama Bank of Dave.

The film will be seen in the UK via Sky's Sky Cinema subscription channel.

Details of an Australian release are yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Rebel's directorial debut The Deb is still awaiting a release.

It comes after Rebel Wilson married her wife Ramona Agruma for a second time in Australia last month.

The Pitch Perfect star, 44, confirmed the news on her Instagram, sharing a series of photos of the couple after they legally tied the knot in her hometown.

Rebel revealed her sister Liberty officiated the wedding, which was attended by their closest family and friends.

'My sister Liberty officiated our legal wedding in Sydney!' she wrote.

'It meant my 94 year old grandmother Gar could come which was very special to us to have her included and just felt right to do it in my hometown at this glorious time of the year!'

In the photos, Rebel looked stylish in an off the shoulder pink dress as she posed with Ramona at Sydney Harbour.

The couple were all smiles as they shared a kiss in another image, with the backdrop of the Harbour Bridge.

They also posed with Rebel's proud grandmother Gar as they enjoyed a celebratory meal after the ceremony.

Rebel and Ramona tied the knot in Sardinia, Italy, on September 28, and daughter Royce was their flower girl.

It was the perfect fairytale location for the couple to exchange vows as they notably holidayed in Porto Cervo, Sardinia, just days after going Instagram official with their romance in 2022.

The Bridesmaids actress and her partner were reportedly supposed to get married in a 2025 beach wedding but Rebel decided to move up the date.

The couple first met in 2021 and announced their engagement in February 2023.

DailyMail.com exclusively shared the news of their nuptials, revealing the couple were 'thrilled' to be tying the knot.

'Rebel is really excited to be getting married to the love of her life, absolutely thrilled,' a source shared ahead of the big day.

'It is going to be stunning and super romantic. She is madly in love and can't wait to be wed.'

'Rebel doesn't want to wait any longer, she is happy to marry this month because she is very much in love with Ramona and wants to be wed,' the source added.

The Sydney-born actress came out in June 2022 and debuted her relationship with Ramona in a sweet post at the same time, sharing a cozy selfie of them alongside some heartfelt words.

'I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince... but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess,' she gushed in an Instagram post at the time.

The couple, who first met in 2021, went on to welcome their daughter Royce Lillian via surrogate in November 2022.
