PSA: Star Wars Galactic Racer pilots, put some points in resilience before you hit the acid planet

The multiplayer tour mode in Galactic Racer lets you upgrade a speeder over the course of six races while other players manically shunt you into the wall on every track. It's a best-of-both-worlds mode that adds a little of the campaign's run-based progression to a multiplayer tournament.

But since you only get one race on each planet, you might be blindsided by Sentinel I. Locations in Galactic Racer tend to follow the Star Wars pattern of single-environment worlds—the desert planet, the jungle planet—and good old Sentinel I is apparently the galaxy's planet of burning piss.

Veer a little off-track on Sentinel I and you'll hit boiling yellow acid that quickly tanks your ramjet boost. It's a bad time. While it's normally tempting to throw your precious upgrade points into afterburner and ramjet to get your speed as high as possible, and battery if you've got a decent ability you need more energy for, make sure to put some points in resilience before you get to Sentinel 1 so you aren't instantly tanked the screwed you skim over one of its scenic acid rivers.

It'll come in handy later on as well, because the climactic race of each tour on Derven Acos is basically a remix of previous environments and their hazards—including a little bit of Ando Prime's freezing ice, Lantaana's lava, and Sentinel I's corrosive acid. The same tip applies in singleplayer, of course, but there you'll start with a bunch of tuning points earned in previous runs and be less starved for upgrades.
