While many fans enjoy the live-action Spider-Man movies led by the famous trio of actors like Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland there are other iterations of the character that have emerged in the last few years. Sony released Into the Spider-Verse in 2018, and it was immediately hailed as one of, if not the greatest, Spider-Man movies ever made. It backed up these comparisons by winning Best Animated Feature Film at the 2019 Academy Awards. The sequel to the film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, premiered in 2023, and a third and final installment is on the way next year.

One of the best parts to come out of the animated Spider-Verse movies, especially the first film, was Nicolas Cage’s casting as Spider-Noir. Cage effortlessly portrays Ben Reilly, the Spider-Man out of time, who doubles as a private investigator who not-so-secretly loves beating up Nazis. He’s basically Indiana Jones in Spider-Man form, so needless to say, he has become something of a fan-favorite. The character became so popular with Cage as the voice that Prime Video announced a few years ago it was developing a live-action Spider-Man Noir series, titled Spider-Noir.

Last year in December, Amazon revealed the first-look images at Cage’s Spider-Noir series, and fans have been waiting since for another official look at the show. This afternoon, Esquire delivered what everyone has been waiting for, debuting seven new images from Spider-Noir, including four of Nicolas Cage as the titular character, and other supporting stars like Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, and Karen Rodriguez. The show is still lacking a release date, but the new report containing the new images promises that the show is coming this spring.

Jack Huston Joins ‘Spider-Noir’ as an Iconic Spider-Man Villain

The new images may not be the most exciting thing to come out of the new Spider-Noir report. It has also been revealed that Jack Huston, famous for his roles in Kill Your Darlings and American Hustle, will star in the series as Sandman. Marvel fans have previously seen Sandman brought to life by Thomas Haden Church in Spider-Man 3 and Spider-Man: No Way Home. It’s also been confirmed that Brendan Gleeson will play Silvermane, an infamous NY crime boss in Marvel canon. Cage's Spider-Noir will likely clash with both villains in the show.

Check out the new images from Spider-Noir above and stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of the series.
