Two actors have just been cast in the starring roles of Prime Video's upcoming TV show adaptation of the video game Life is Strange.
Prime Video just announced that Maisy Stella has signed on to play Chloe on Life is Strange, while Tatum Grace Hopkins has joined the cast as Max.
So far, they are the only two actors who have joined the Amazon MGM Studios series.
Stella is best known for starring as Daphne Conrad on the five-season ABC/CMT drama Nashville. After that breakout role, the actress went on to appear in movies like My Old A** (which earned her a Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Young Actor or Actress), Standing on the Shoulders of Kitties and the upcoming Poetic License and Flowervale Street.
She also sang for several years with her sister and Nashville co-star Lennon Stella as part of the group Lennon & Maisy.
Hopkins, meanwhile, has experience working on Broadway in shows like The Queen of Versailles and For the Girls. Life is Strange will be her first TV show.
The showrunner and writer of the Prime Video series is Charlie Covell, who already has experience with small-screen adaptations after writing the British series The End of the F***ing World, which is based on a graphic novel. They also created the one-season Netflix series Kaos and have acted in shows like Fortysomething, Midsomer Murders, Law & Order: UK, The Inbetweeners and Misfits.
Covell is also executive producing Life is Strange with Dmitri M. Johnson, Michael Lawrence Goldberg and Timothy I. Stevenson.
