Pregnant Brittany Mahomes' Due Date Is Much Sooner Than You Think

This pregnancy is rapidly approaching the end zone.

While it might seem like just yesterday Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes announced she was pregnant with their third baby, it turns out her due date is just days away, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback revealed.

“No one happier to get back to KC than Patrick Mahomes,” sports reporter Tracy Wolfson wrote on X, formerly twitter, Jan. 6 in response to a tweet that noted the Chiefs were headed back to Kansas City less than 24 hours after they kicked off in Denver. “He told me his wife Brittany is due to give birth to their 3rd child on Sunday. If she doesn’t give birth by then she will be induced Monday.”

She joked, “There was def extra motivation for Patrick to get that bye week!”

This means, according to Patrick, make Sunday, Jan. 11 Brittany’s official due date.

For the pair—who were high school sweethearts and are already parents to daughter Sterling, 3, and son Bronze, 2—they’re more than ready to welcome their new baby girl to their team.

Take, for instance, how naturally Patrick has taken to being a girl dad. Back in December, Brittany took to Instagram to show off the braid her husband had given Sterling, writing alongside the picture, “@patrickmahomes crushing his braiding skills.”

In fact, when it comes to spending time with his family, there’s nowhere in the world the NFL star would rather be—though he’s honest about the ups and downs.

"Just coming home and having to get that energy back up and put on that smile on your face and be a dad, I mean it's a full-time job," he told E! News in July 2023. "But the most rewarding are those moments as well, so it is a challenge of bringing that energy home at the same time."

But Patrick knows he’s found the perfect teammate for tackling all of life’s biggest challenges in Brittany.

"She has her head on her shoulders the right way," he added. "She's my rock. She's the one that, through tough times, can get me through."

"Having someone that supports you every single day like I do,” he continued, “is the reason that I am in the position that I am today."

Meanwhile, Brittany has always known her future would involve motherhood.

"I've been called to be a mom ever since I was little,” the 28-year-old told SheKnows last year. "Just seeing my kids grow up, and the things that they're learning, and the things that they're taking from their dad … when we have first experiences with them, taking them somewhere, seeing them happy and lit up and in good spirits when we do stuff, is probably the biggest thing that I enjoy."

As she summed it up, “I love being a mom.”
