Several months ago, BOOM! Studios announced its upcoming relaunch of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Although the Mighty Morphin team will always remain one of the franchise’s most iconic, many fans have been eager to see other eras take center stage. That wish now appears to be coming true with BOOM! Studios’ recently announced Power Rangers Unlimited, an ongoing comic series. The big question was which team would be featured, and the answer is ambitious: the series is set to bring “ALL your favorite Rangers across time and space” together.

Power Rangers Unlimited #1 will hit comic shop shelves on July 1, 2026, serving as a groundbreaking addition to the franchise as it brings together fans’ favorite Rangers from every season and every series across the long-running television and comic continuity. This will unite the various Ranger teams in an unprecedented way, making the series a must-read for longtime fans.
Power Rangers Unlimited #1 will be 24 pages and available to buy for $5.99.
Responsible for bringing over thirty years of canon together in one place is an all-star creative team of writers Joey Esposito (Batman: Urban Legends) and Kenny Porter (The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive, Fearless), alongside superstar artist Alessio Zonno (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III).
The story will initially take place at a mysterious base on the planet Aquitar, where a “morphinomenal program is taking shape.” There, the Striking Tiger Unlimited Ranger will “call upon Power Rangers from across time and space to form elite teams and battle a rising evil.” This premise neatly explains how fans will finally get to see all their favorite Power Ranger teams come together in one story.

With the announcement of Power Rangers Unlimited, previous critiques of the upcoming Mighty Morphin Power Rangers relaunch will likely be met with a more receptive response, given that in addition to MMPR, fans are now also getting what many have been clamoring for: a series that doesn’t entirely rely on MMPR. In this situation, fans are getting the best of both worlds, and then some.
