Pokémon TCG Pocket: All Pocket Promo A Cards & How To Get Them

2 days ago 3

Pocket Promo A cards are very sought-after in Pokémon TCG Pocket. Alongside the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island sets, Promo A cards are available for players to find while playing the game, but require specific mechanics to add them to your collection. Whereas the standard cards can be found by opening packs, using Wonder Picks or by making the most of your pack points, Promo A cards all have their own methods to unlock.

Currently, all of these special cards are listed as being part of Promo A, but further sets are sure to be unveiled as the game progresses. One drawback of the promotion is that many of the cards were only available during set events, meaning new players to Pokémon TCG Pocket may not be able to add them to their collections. These cards may return during future events, but for now they are unavailable. This guide covers how each one of the cards can be found.

Currently, there are 33 Pocket Promo A cards in Pokémon TCGP, but if you have missed any, the above list will help you see if it is still possible to obtain the relevant cards. The first seven cards are all items or supporter cards and can be purchased in the shop for two tokens each. While you might already have these, if you need more there is always the option to go back and get them.

Pokémon TCG Pocket’s New Rewards Pay Respect To Classic Trainer

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has card sleeves and other rewards featuring fan-favorite character Blue, a classic Trainer from the Gen 1 games.

Three of the Promo A cards are locked behind the paid element of Pokémon TCG Pocket, the Premium Pass Subscription. Promo A card 9 Pikachu is always available for players to collect as soon as they sign up. However, the second card changes. At first, it was number 10 Mewtwo, but it is currently number 25 Moltres ex. Making Mewtwo currently unavailable for players to collect.

You can take part in a free trial for 14 days of the Pokémon TCG Pocket Premium Pass, but after signing up you need to remember to cancel it before the trial ends to avoid being charged.

The remaining cards are all tied to two kinds of events. The first is Wonder Pick events. These add certain cards to the Wonder Pick section of the game as separate packs to choose from, which either cost nothing or two Wonder Stamina. Currently, this is a Charmander and Squirtle event. The main problem with these events is they only run for two weeks, so once they are finished the cards are currently unavailable if you missed them.

The card that has been confirmed, but nobody can yet access is number 8, a special version of the Pokédex card.

The second event type involves in the solo battles portion of Pokémon TCG Pocket, where you have a chance of receiving a random Promo A card after winning matches. This is currently a Blastoise event, with five Promo A cards available after each win. Again, these events last two weeks each. So any cards that you missed in the previous Venusaua or Lapras ex events are currently unavailable.

While new cards will continue to be added, you should make sure you have all the Pocket Promo A cards that are available in Pokémon TCG Pocket while you can if you are looking to fully complete your collection.
