It's time to jump on the analog photography bandwagon in the cutest possible way

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise, and there's been no shortage of awesome merch from brands all over the world to celebrate the occasion. The latest comes from instant photography brand Polaroid, which has teamed up with The Pokémon Company for a limited-edition line of cameras, accessories, and film. The lineup includes three cameras, modeled after the iconic Pokéball, Pikachu, and Sylveon. The collection also includes three film frames and a variety of cute accessories, including camera cases and straps.
Pricing for the collection starts from $14.99 for accessories. The cameras themselves start at $99.99 each, with the special edition version priced at $139.99. The collection will launch globally in limited quantities on polaroid.com, with pre-orders opening Aug. 25 on polaroid.com and Pokémon Center in the US, UK and Canada. The Pokémon x Polaroid collab is just the latest example of the revitalized popularity of analog photography in recent years, as Gen Z embraces retro tech like point-and-shoot digital cameras, CRT televisions, and dumb phones. Who needs yet another Instagram story when you can have a physical souvenir of a fun day out with your friends and family? Besides, you don't get to do that cool flipping motion to make the picture develop faster with a smartphone.
