While the hype around Pokémon Pokopia has been slightly overshadowed by the explosive release of Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, the massively popular cozy creation game still has plenty to offer for fans and new players alike. With new events released each month and seasonal updates to look forward to, Pokopia's massive open sandbox-style gameplay is the experience that keeps on giving.

While many players are still only scratching the surface of what Pokopia has to offer across its hundreds of hours worth of playtime, an upcoming DLC could massively shake up the gameplay experience for players everywhere, for better or for worse.

As reported by the gamingbible on X, Pokémon Pokopia is potentially getting a new DLC that could be adding 5 entirely new lands for you to explore and restore to their former glory, with plenty of additional Pokémon for you to befriend and home with your own two hands throughout even more desolated versions of familiar locations from the series.

While it does help that according to the same leak, Nintendo was planning to release the DLC lands one at a time, rather than launching them all at once in a single paid expansion, countless players are more than a litle shaken over the news, with fans saying "I'm already so overwhelmed" and "I'm still trying to decorate withered wastland, and hear 5 new lands await."

Even if some players are terrified that Nintendo is already considering pushing out even more content with how much there is still left to do in Pokopia's handful of locations, others are ecstatic over the news, saying, "it would be perfect if we eventually got all 1000+ Pokémon in the game" or simply exclaiming "please lord Jesus GOD let this be true," out of pure excitement that's more than a little contagious.

While it's true that Pokopia still has immense gameplay potential for intricately decorating and restoring your lands one by one, fans were also quick to point out that DLC could fix some of the major issues with Pokopia's type discrepancies that are incredibly hard to ignore.

With some fans sharing how their hopes for the DLC involve "an ice region, lore that covers the cause of the disasters, Rayquaza as a legendary, and a fun new building mechanics," it's clear that Pokémon Pokopia still has plenty of potential for future content that players can't wait to get their hands on and would "instantly buy", even if it means being more than a little overwhelmed by the amount of things to do.
