At long last, Pokémon fans are getting a perfectly adorable Animal Crossing-esque cozy game from Nintendo: Pokémon Pokopia. In this Switch 2 exclusive, you get to play as a cute Ditto who assumes the look of a human and turns a small patch of land into a thriving Pokémon community.
In this cute title, you'll be able to guide Ditto in growing crops, designing habitats, crafting furniture and decor, and more. You'll even be able to share your home space with friends or visit their towns to hang out and get inspired.
Throughout it all, Ditto will get to meet and interact with many Pokémon. With each new companion, you'll learn new skills to help upgrade your little town. Many Pokémon have already been revealed for Pokémon Pokopia, with more to come.
Ditto Will Learn From Its Pokémon Companions
Every Pokémon Introduces A Unique Skill
Ditto's power of mimicry makes it an ideal candidate for this game. As the game progresses, Ditto will work with other Pokémon to transform the land by mimicking their special skills. For instance, Bulbasaur's Leafage skill can make grass grow, while Lapras's Surf helps Ditto cross water to explore further from town.
As Pokopia's March 2026 release nears, Nintendo has been revealing images and videos of what to expect. Through these content previews, you can get a good sense of which Pokémon will be joining Ditto. Many of the Pokémon will bring a different skill to the experience. It will be fun to discover how each combat power has been adapted to townscaping and design.
