What Does PlayStation Plus Have In Store This May?
According to predictions by user Kayrakaanonline, we have a full list of the PlayStation Plus titles that are most likely to be removed from the service in May. Added six months ago and likely to leave are Grand Theft Auto V, Red Dead Redemption, and Moto GP 25. There are also more games which were added six months ago, but are less likely to leave the PS Plus library. These include: Tomb Raider: Anniversary, Thank Goodness You're Here, Insurgency: Sandstorm, Still Wakes the Deep, and Pacific Drive.
Added 12 months ago and likely to be removed are: SAND LAND, Battlefield V, and Granblue Fantasy Versus, whilst titles such as the S.T.A.L.K.E.R trilogy, Gloomhaven Mercenaries Edition, Soul Hackers 2, Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted, Humankind, Story of Seasons, and Battle Engine Aquila (Premium) are also celebrating their one-year anniversary but are unlikely to leave just yet.
Last but not least, added 24 months ago and likely to be removed from the PlayStation Plus library next month are Crime Boss: Rockay City, and Cat Quest 1 & 2. The unlikely removals are The Settlers: New Allies, and Worms Pinball (Premium).
PlayStation Plus Has Been Up And Down This Year
With some major titles such as Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption looking likely to be leaving the PlayStation Plus library in May, it already seems as though the upcoming month is shaping up to be disappointing for members. "Noooo, not RD1," one user commented. "I just started it recently and was planning to go for the platinum. Hoping it stays." However, another user used this as an opportunity to showcase one hit indie title. "Just in case it is in danger of leaving, people should definitely check out Thank Goodness You're Here. It's such a delightful, funny game, and it only takes like 3–4 hours to play through."
After an already disappointing year, many are still hoping that Sony will pull it out of the bag soon, especially considering that the cost of a PS Plus membership is ever-increasing. However, with the service now targeting major titles, as well as some hit indie releases, it seems as though there will be another fresh wave of cancellations come May.
