The issue with services like PlayStation Plus is that they both give and take away, with games in the catalog never really in your possession in any real, meaningful way. It's still a broad and impressive offering, despite the recent price increases, and there are hundreds of hours of fun to be had, regardless of which genre you happen to be a fan of.

As you might be expecting though, the usual cost must be paid, and we pretty much know which games will be leaving next month.

John Marston points a shotgun forward in Red Dead Redemption artwork.

Over on Reddit, one user shared a post from the Japanese PlayStation store, which seemingly confirms that the original Red Dead Redemption will be removed from PS Plus, alongside LEGO The Incredibles, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game - Complete Edition, and We Love Katamari REROLL+ Royal Reverie.

Fans were quick to react to the news, and there was a wide variety of opinion on the titles that were off, with particular attention for Red Dead.

"I had been sitting on RDR for months now, as it's available on Android too and had bought it there thinking I would play it on my commute. But it's not a commute-friendly game. Time to boot it up and finish at home then," one comment read.

While another added, "Wow, I just happened to play Katamari and Lego Incredibles in the last month. Unexpectedly good timing. Need to decide if I’ll try Scott Pilgrim. Played Red Dead right when it came out, great to go through it again looking prettier."

"I did predict RDR would leave. Rockstar and 6 months. Nice to see nothing else good is leaving. We shall see if the other regions are the same because in the past few months Europe has been different here and there," a third said.

Whatever does happen next month in your own region, hopefully Sony has some solid replacements lined up for the games that are leaving. This month proved to be pretty impressive overall, so if they can continue that good form then we should be on to a winner.
