Pilates dates back to the early 1900s, but has become one of the fastest-growing exercise genres in Australia and New Zealand over the past year or so, with many celebrities swearing by it.

Phoebe has launched a successful career as an influencer in recent years following her split from former footballer Sam Burgess.

She shares her two children with her ex-Rabbitohs star husband Sam, 35, who got remarried last year.

Sam's new wife Lucy Burgess, née Graham, appears to be following in Phoebe's footsteps as she too is venturing into fashion influencing.

She has been showing off her designer wardrobe on Instagram in recent weeks, much like Phoebe has carved out a loyal fanbase for herself doing.

Sam and hairdresser Lucy, 33, exchanged vows in front of their loved ones in a romantic ceremony held at Villa Aurelia in Rome last year.

Lucy has officially taken on her new husband Sam's surname following the wedding, while his ex-wife Phoebe has also kept the surname 'Burgess' after their split.

Phoebe has not reverted back to her maiden name Hooke because she wants to have the same surname as their two children.

'I drop my kids off to school every day, and I've got a big sign on my car that says Burgess, and we are three Burgesses because that's their name, so I deserve to be the same name as my kids,' she told Mamamia.

Phoebe described the decision as 'choosing to be a part of a family unit' and a 'personal preference', regardless of the fact she is now divorced.

'I'm choosing to own it a little bit. This is my story. It's where I've come from,' she said firmly.

'And they were decisions I made with a really full heart at that time. And it's almost like wearing those scars with a bit of pride.'

Sam and Phoebe tied the knot in 2015 but separated in late 2018 before briefly rekindling their romance in early 2019.

They split permanently on October 2 that year and later divorced, with Phoebe moving to Bowral with her children.

Phoebe now lives with her parents on their sprawling property in the Southern Highlands.

She told Daily Mail Australia that the move is one of the best decisions she's made for her two kids when it comes to preserving their childhood innocence and freedom.

'I learned really early on that there's a trade off. My kids love the space,' she said.

'Billy has an electric bike, and dad's just made him a cool track out in mum's horse arena of jumps... Poppy just loves going outside and being creative.'

Last year, Phoebe made the bombshell admission that she once signed up for the exclusive celebrity dating app Raya.

She told Stellar Magazine she began making an account on the site several months prior, but stopped after thinking about her two young children.

'I don't want my children to ever feel they are not my top priority. I'm sensitive to that. I have this fear that they would ever get that message from me' she began.

'They're my most important thing, my focus. That's the thing I will not risk for anything in the world, because they don't deserve it.'

The blonde bombshell added she had come to love the freedom of being a single parent and was not prepared to sacrifice it for being in a relationship.

'I became a single parent on the brink of a pandemic, which offered a sanctuary and a way to feel safe.

'I don't want to risk my own personal freedom again because even though single-parenting at times can be a sh*t-show, I have the autonomy and freedom to make choices,' she added.
