American singer JoJo Siwa has confirmed her relationship with local actor Kath Ebbs in a video shared to the Australian's TikTok page on Sunday.

The pair appeared to be hanging out in a kitchen as they made fun of the recent US ban on the social media app.

But it was the caption that was the most telling of their relationship status, as Kath, 27, referred to the former Dance Moms star, 21, as her 'American girlfriend'.

'My American girlfriend is dealing really well with the TikTok ban,' she wrote over the clip as she teased the dancer for not being able to use the app anymore.

'Are you jealous that I can still use the app and you can't?' Kath giggled at one point as she zoomed in on her girlfriend.

'Yeah, it's really heartbreaking,' JoJo said, putting on a show of faux sadness.

JoJo and Kath, who is known as Abbie Chatfield's best friend, have been drip-feeding their relationship to followers for months.

The pair were first spotted going on dates in Australia last year and have been inseparable ever since the podcaster flew out to Los Angeles in December.

JoJo visited Australia to perform at the TikTok Awards on November 27, one week after confirming her break up with American dancer Dakayla Wilson.

The pair had been dating since August.

Taking to her Instagram Stories last month, Kath filmed JoJo fangirling over the Grey's Anatomy musical episode and explaining its plot in great detail.

She then delivered an impromptu performance of it whilst driving.

The former child star looked happy and at ease on the outing, wearing a grey tracksuit and no makeup.

'Just learnt that Grey's Anatomy has a musical episode? And apparently we have a No.1 fan,' Kath captioned the adoring video of JoJo singing while she drove.

The Karma singer then proceeded to shoot Kath a sultry side-eye while lip-syncing along to the lyrics.

'Oh a whole show...' they wrote nonchalantly, before making another five posts about the performance.

JoJo was brought to tears as she showed her new love interest a YouTube clip from the episode while they cuddled up together later on the couch.

During the 11th Annual American Reality Television Awards on November 18, JoJo revealed to People that she'd broken up with Dakayla.

'We have gone our separate ways, but she is an amazing girl,' JoJo shared.

She added: 'And I got my own fun holiday plans, and I know she’s got her family that she’s spent the holidays with. I’m happy for her that she has [them].'

It's unknown when JoJo and Kath met, but it's likely they were introduced by mutual friends, Aussie musician G Flip and their wife Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause.

Kath hosts the podcast Call Me Kath and owns a health food store named The Smoothie Bowl Shack, located in the inner city suburb of Glebe.

They have also worked as a model, DJ and Nike ambassador, and made appearances in TV news segments as a queer activist.

Although JoJo had been single for a matter of two weeks before striking up a romance with Kath in the public eye, things seem to be moving quickly.

They were first spotted getting close on the Gold Coast in Queensland and then Kath took to social media to film JoJo marvelling over Australian petrol stations.

'I didn't pay for it. You could just drive off,' JoJo said, stunned by the reversed process of fuelling a car in Australia.

JoJo literally jumped for joy when Kath emerged at LAX airport on December 13.

The two hugged each other tight upon their reunion.

JoJo, who came out as gay in 2021, has had several short-term relationships in recent years.

The Nickelodeon star previously dated best friend Kylie Prew for several months in 2021.

The pair broke things off, before getting back together briefly, and then breaking up again.

JoJo then began dating TikToker Avery Cyrus in September 2022 and confirmed the romance after months of fan speculation.

However, she later admitted she cheated on Avery with her ex Kylie, with Avery confirming JoJo broke up with her via voice memo after reconciling on TikTok.

While promoting her song Karma on the Call Her Daddy podcast, JoJo said the relationship left her with trauma.

'My last relationship was very public, by both of our choice,' JoJo said.

'Our getting together was very public, our official relationship was very public, our breakup was very public.'

The singer's trip Down Under for the TikTok awards came just days after she officially confirmed her split from her most recent girlfriend, Dakayla.

They first met when JoJo was a judge on Dakayla's season of So You Think You Can Dance, on which she placed second.
