The Mandalorian & Grogu Is A Major Milestone For Pedro Pascal

While Pedro Pascal has landed leading roles on TV before, with Narcos, The Mandalorian, and The Last of Us being among the most notable, almost all of his big-screen credits have seen Pascal take on more minor roles or share the spotlight with an ensemble cast. A few months after The Mandalorian & Grogu arrives in theaters in May, Pascal returns to the big screen for what is arguably the biggest cinematic spectacle of 2026 with Avengers: Doomsday. There, he will reprise his role as Reed Richards, aka Mister Fantastic, along with an extraordinary cast of icons and legends from the MCU and the rest of Marvel cinema.

While this film will also see Pascal among a large ensemble cast, his role is expected to be central to the story, especially since the character from the comics is positioned as the pivotal rival to Doctor Doom, for whom the film is named. This will also provide the foundation for Pascal to perform opposite Robert Downey Jr., who previously played Iron Man in the MCU before being recast as the ultimate villain.

Between these two movies, Pedro Pascal is set to have a huge year, both in terms of the box office of his films and the popularity among major fanbases who are already launching his stardom to new heights.
