Plenty of HBO shows have emerged in the last few years as some of the best the platform has to offer, but one that stood above the rest is The White Lotus. The star-studded anthology drama first premiered in 2021, featuring stars like Sydney Sweeney and Murray Bartlett as its leads, and also expanded its ensemble with other notable actors, including Steve Zahn and Alexandra Daddario. While technically still connected to The White Lotus Season 1, Season 2 featured almost an entirely new cast, aside from Jennifer Coolidge. Aubrey Plaza and Theo James were cast as the leads in The White Lotus Season 2 before being replaced by Emmy-nominated stars like Walton Goggins and Jason Isaacs in Season 3. Season 4 of The White Lotus is now in production, and it’s expected to take place in France.

Every streaming service is always on the lookout for what could potentially be positioned as its version of The White Lotus, especially after seeing how much fans love HBO’s vacation drama. Prime Video had already tried and failed with Hotel Costiera, the Jesse Williams-led series that was canceled after only one season. Next on deck is Peacock, which is attempting to recreate the magic of The White Lotus with its new series, The Five-Star Weekend. Peacock premiered the first-look images from the Jennifer Garner-starring series yesterday and also released an official synopsis, which reads as follows:

“In an effort to overcome grief and find herself, Hollis gets the idea to host a weekend away at her house on Nantucket with three friends from different stages of her life: her childhood, her twenties and thirties, and one surprise star. Set against a luxurious and coastal backdrop, the stars will mature in ways they could never imagine as boundaries are pushed and secrets are exposed.”

The Five-Star Weekend will arrive on Peacock this summer, on July 16.

Who Stars in the Next Season of ‘The White Lotus’?

Previously announced cast members for The White Lotus Season 4 include Sandra Bernhard, Helena Bonham Carter, Steve Coogan, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Ari Graynor, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, AJ Michalka, Dylan Ennis, Vincent Cassel, and Corentin Fila. Earlier this week, it was reported that Kumail Nanjiani, Max Greenfield, and Chloe Bennet have also joined the cast, with production set to start soon. Season 4 is expected to be released sometime next year.
