EXCLUSIVE: Screenwriting duo Eyal Podell and Jonathon E. Stewart have signed with Paradigm for representation.
Alumni of Dartmouth College, Podell and Stewart first garnered industry attention with their feature screenplay Seuss, a biopic of iconic children’s author Dr. Seuss, which placed No. 2 on the 2012 Black List. The script launched the duo into a prolific run in studio animation that has spanned more than a decade.
Subsequently, they became credited writers on Cars 3 for Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Pictures, with the sequel grossing over $383 million worldwide. They also penned The Angry Birds Movie 2 for Sony Pictures Animation, featuring a voice cast led by Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Leslie Jones and Bill Hader, as well as Scoob! for Warner Bros. Animation, a reimagining of the classic Hanna-Barbera franchise.
Beyond their produced credits, Podell and Stewart have been active in development across both animation and live-action. They collaborated with Chris Columbus’ 26th Street Pictures on the Netflix family adventure film Jack vs. the Apocalypse, and most recently adapted The Wizards of Once, the fantasy-adventure novel by How to Train Your Dragon author Cressida Cowell, for DreamWorks Animation.
Known for their character-driven storytelling and comedic sensibility within large-scale animated worlds, Podell and Stewart continue to develop original features and high-profile adaptations for major studios.
