Pocketpair's head of publishing and communications, who goes by Bucky on social media, posted a screenshot on X showing a warning that the upcoming patch notes exceeded Steam's maximum character limit. If you are curious, that limit is 32,000 characters. In a reply to the initial post, Bucky revealed that the patch notes took up 40 pages and had a character count of 65,000; over twice Steam's limit. That was much longer than a screenshot posted a few hours earlier, which showed the patch notes as a 27-page document. Early this morning, a couple of hours after the initial post, Bucky announced they had "fixed it without making any compromises."
A new trailer for Palworld 1.0 was released on Thursday, giving players a look at what to expect in the massive update. It will add more than 20 new pals and will finally make the World Tree region playable, bringing a conclusion to the main story. Tower bosses, Wildlife Sanctuaries, and No-Hunting Zones are all being reworked. While Pocketpair has said existing saves should be compatible with the 1.0 version, it recommends that players start a new save for the best experience. These will only be a fraction of the full list of changes that seemingly take up pages and pages to fully detail.
Pocketpair recently announced that Palworld will remain at its early access price of $29.99 when it exits early access. While Pocketpair never officially stated the game's price would be increased to a specific point, the Steam page indicated the price could increase closer to the full release. Palworld has been a massive success since its early access launch. Just days ahead of the 1.0 release, Pocketpair revealed the game had passed the massive milestone of 40 million players. That number is sure to increase tomorrow.
Palworld is available on Mac, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.
