Critics Choice Awards 2026: Michael B. Jordan Reveals When He Knew ‘Sinners’ Was Special
Keeping up with an Oscars 2026 watch list is one battle after another.
Films like Sinners, One Battle After Another, Hamnet and more are going head-to-head for Best Picture during the March 15 Academy Awards ceremony. To be fully prepared for the biggest night in film, it’s important to catch every film before the awards show.
This year, the Best Picture competition is as stiff as ever. Ryan Coogler’s Sinners made history by earning the most Oscar nominations of all time, with 16 nods. Available to stream on HBO Max, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Fandango at Home and Youtube, the thriller stars Best Actor nominee Michael B. Jordan and Best Supporting Actor Nominee Delroy Lindo.
Delroy, for his part, was ecstatic when he discovered the film had received recognition in nearly every category, including Best Director and Best Original Screenplay.
“It's just incredibly joyful and affirming,” Delroy, who played Delta Slim in the film, exclusively told E! News in an interview published Jan. 22. "Affirming that audiences inside and outside of the industry have responded to this work so fully, and the fact that the work has touched people, I believe, in the depth of their humanity."
He added, "I don't have the words to explain how gratifying and affirming that feels. It's extraordinary."
Delroy certainly isn’t the only Oscar nominee to feel the excitement. The cast and crew of One Battle After Another—which received 13 nominations—are also feeling good about the big night, especially Best Supporting Actress nominee Teyana Taylor.

"I am so deeply emotional, so humbled, and so grateful for every person who has walked this road with me,” she shared in a statement after nominations were announced Jan. 22, adding that she was, "honored to be nominated alongside these amazing women in my category.”
Directed and written by Paul Thomas Anderson, the action movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio is available to stream on HBO Max, Hulu, Fandango at Home, YouTube and Amazon Prime Video. Like Teyana, Leo was thrilled to earn a Best Actor nomination for his portrayal of former revolutionary Bob Ferguson, his eighth Oscar nomination overall.
“Making this film was one of the most meaningful and collaborative experiences of my life," Leo wrote in a statement released after nominations were announced Jan. 22. "It was made possible by the generosity, courage, and talent of an extraordinary cast—Teyana, Chase [Infiniti], Benny [del Toro], Sean [Penn], Regina [Hall]—and by the commitment of our entire crew.”
