Chris is a Senior News Writer for Collider. He can be found in an IMAX screen, with his eyes watering and his ears bleeding for his own pleasure. He joined the news team in 2022 and accidentally fell upwards into a senior position despite his best efforts.

For reasons unknown, he enjoys analyzing box office receipts, giant sharks, and has become known as the go-to man for all things BoschMission: Impossible and Christopher Nolan in Collider's news division. Recently, he found himself yeehawing along to the Dutton saga on the Yellowstone Ranch.

He is proficient in sarcasm, wit, Photoshop and working unfeasibly long hours. Amongst his passions sit the likes of the history of the Walt Disney Company, the construction of theme parks, steam trains and binge-watching Gilmore Girls with a coffee that is just hot enough to scald him.

His obsession with the Apple TV+ series Silo is the subject of mockery within the Senior News channel, where his feelings about Taylor Sheridan's work are enough to make his fellow writers roll their eyes.

Lainey Wilson might be dominating country music right now, but she’s not ruling out another ride into the Yellowstone universe. The singer-songwriter, who appeared in Season 5 of Yellowstone as aspiring musician Abby, recently opened up about the possibility of returning to acting — and specifically working again with series creator Taylor Sheridan. Speaking on the Grammys red carpet, Wilson admitted that acting wasn’t something she ever planned on pursuing.

“The truth is? I never, in a million years, thought that I'd be doing acting. I've always loved telling a story. No matter what, my music is number one. But if all these other opportunities are showing up, I'd sure hate to close the door on them.”

That open-door mindset includes the idea of stepping back into Sheridan’s world, which has already spawned multiple spin-offs and seems to have no shortage of new stories brewing. “When I hear Lainey Wilson: singer, songwriter, artist, performer, and actress, I really want to live up to that,” she added, embracing the growing list of hyphens in her career. And when it comes to a potential Yellowstone spin-off? She’s already made her interest known. “I told [the series’ co-creator] Taylor Sheridan, ‘Holler at me!’ But who knows? We’ll see. Fingers crossed.”

Who Did Lainey Wilson Play on 'Yellowstone'?

Wilson’s appearance on Yellowstone introduced her to a new audience and proved she could hold her own on-screen while still leaning into her musical roots. Her character, Abby, was an emerging country artist — not too far from Wilson’s real-life persona — which made her performance feel natural and grounded rather than gimmicky. Now, with a role in the upcoming film Reminders of Him and her music career still firing on all cylinders, Wilson’s schedule is packed. She even revealed at the Grammys that she had to leave the ceremony early to fly to New Zealand for shows, a reminder that her primary focus is still on the stage.

Yellowstone streams on Peacock. The series stars Kevin Costner as John Dutton, Kelly Reilly as Beth Dutton, Cole Hauser as Rip Wheeler, Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, Wes Bentley as Jamie Dutton, Kelsey Asbille as Monica Dutton, Brecken Merrill as Tate Dutton, and Lainey Wilson as Abby.
