Drew Barrymore Invites Savannah Guthrie to Join Charlie's Angels 3

Charlie’s Angels fans certainly had a good morning.

After all, Kate JacksonJaclyn Smith, and Cheryl Ladd—who starred in the original 1970s series—reunited for the show’s 50th anniversary in Los Angeles, Calif., in style.

For the April 6 celebration during PaleyFest LA, Kate, 77, donned a black pantsuit with a white t-shirt underneath. Keeping her look casual, the Dark Shadows actress paired the ensemble with black sneakers.

Meanwhile, Jaclyn opted for a satin pink power suit, which she paired with peep-toe heels. Referencing her iconic locs from the 70s, the 80-year-old wore her tresses in a voluminous style that featured bouncy curtain bangs.

And who could miss Cheryl’s sleek look? The 74-year-old stunned in a coral blazer and cream pants. To tie her look together, the Poison Ivy actress opted for white sandals.

Kate, Jaclyn, and Cheryl first announced their plans for a 50th anniversary celebration back in January. After the show premiered in 1976, the ladies—which also included the late Farrah Fawcett until Cheryl replaced her in season two—emphasized that from the very start, they felt the iconic project’s impact.

"Charlie’s Angels surprised everyone when Farrah, Jackie and I hit the ground running (thanks, in part, to Farrah’s iconic poster) and the pilot went through the glass ceiling," the trio told People in a joint statement at the time. "Overnight, we were hailed with something akin to 'rock star fame.' When Cheryl joined us in the second season, she added a special element uniquely hers and the crazy went on.”

That “crazy” eventually made its way to the box office in 2000 when Cameron DiazDrew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu starred in Charlie’s Angels for a new generation. Since then, the franchise has exploded to include multiple sequels and even an animated spinoff.

Though Kate, Jaclyn, and Cheryl noted that the original ABC show was "lighthearted," it "also quietly delivered the important message that women are just as capable as men" amid the "Women’s Movement in the 1970s.”

"We are proud that we were able to entertain the television viewing audience for an hour each week,” they added, “let them put their feet up, forget their troubles and, at the same time, inspire and empower young women all over the world.”
