Olivia Dean won at the Grammys and highlighted being the granddaughter of an immigrant.

The singer took the stage at the award show after winning the Best New Artist award and gave a shoutout to immigrants.

“I’m up here as the granddaughter of an immigrant,” she said to a roaring applause from the Crypto.com Arena. “I’m a product of bravery, and I think those people deserve to be celebrated.”

She continued, “We’re nothing without each other.”

Dean was nominated at the Grammys for the first time in a category that also featured Addison Rae, Alex Warren, Katseye, Leon Thomas, Lola Young, Sombr, and the Marias.

The singer’s comments about immigration came amid the ICE raids ordered by Donald Trump that have led to multiple deaths amid protests for the inhumane handling of the situation.

Later on in the show, Bad Bunny took the stage and was cheered on by the audience when he said, “ICE out!”

The Puerto Rican singer added, “We’re not savage, we’re not animals, we’re not aliens, we are humans, and we are Americans.”

Bad Bunny also gave some advice to the people listening, saying, “The hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love. So please, we need to be different. If we fight, we have to do it with love. We don’t hate them. We love our people. We love our family, and that’s the way to do it — with love. Don’t forget that, please.”
