Strategic AMD Collaboration Strengthens Investment Thesis

A significant catalyst driving investor enthusiasm for Nutanix is its strategic alliance with Advanced Micro Devices. The two technology companies unveiled their partnership in February, focused on creating an infrastructure platform tailored for agentic AI workloads.

Under the terms of this collaboration, AMD committed to acquiring $150 million worth of Nutanix equity and pledged up to $100 million in development funding for the platform.

Nutanix’s platform integrates compute resources, storage capabilities, and networking functions into a unified system. This architecture enables organizations to oversee their complete application and data ecosystem from a centralized interface.

Chief Executive Rajiv Ramaswami characterized fiscal 2026 as a successful year for the organization. The company onboarded over 3,000 first-time customers and deepened strategic relationships with AMD, Nvidia, Lenovo, and NetApp.

Annual recurring revenue for fiscal year 2026 totaled $2.55 billion, representing a 16% increase from the prior year’s $2.20 billion.

The company generated free cash flow of $840.7 million for the fiscal year, an increase from $750.2 million recorded in fiscal 2025.

Forward Outlook Falls Modestly Short of Consensus

Looking ahead to fiscal 2027, Nutanix projected revenue in the range of $3.18 billion to $3.23 billion. The midpoint of this guidance stands at $3.205 billion, slightly trailing the $3.22 billion consensus among analysts.

For the opening quarter of fiscal 2027, the company forecasted revenue between $755 million and $765 million.

Management also provided guidance for a non-GAAP operating margin of 24% to 25% for the complete fiscal year.

Nutanix recently introduced its Model Context Protocol server designed for its cloud platform, engineered to enable agentic AI capabilities within hybrid cloud architectures.

The organization also announced the widespread availability of Nutanix Enterprise AI 2.8 alongside a fresh partnership with ChronoScale focused on delivering enterprise-grade AI infrastructure solutions.

Additionally, Nutanix confirmed the commercial availability of Dell Private Cloud with PowerStore for its cloud infrastructure offering.
