CFexpress 4.0 as a standard doubles the interface bandwidth available versus CFexpress 2.0, giving the card more headroom to deliver those sustained speeds without hitting a bus bottleneck. Camera support for the full CFexpress 4.0 specification is still rolling out across the industry, though the cards are backward compatible with CFexpress Type B slots.

That certification verifies a minimum guaranteed sustained write speed of 800 MB/s — the threshold the CompactFlash Association sets for demanding professional video workflows.
