Fans have been left divided after Nicole Kidman admitted she puts up her Christmas lights 'at the beginning of November'.
It comes after the Australian actress, 57, revealed she has had to apologise to her neighbours because of the divisive Christmas decorating decision during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
'I'm the person who has the lights up very, very early. We put the lights up at the beginning of November,' she told host Stephen Colbert of the adornments on her $4.89million mansion in Nashville, Tennessee.
'She’s right. She could have done better,' wrote one online commenter of her early decorations.
'What is wrong with people who put up their decorations in November??' demanded another.
'Cringe attention seeking,' said one critic.
Nicole Kidman has revealed she has had to apologise to her neighbours because of her divisive Christmas decorating decisions
The Australian actress, 57, is a huge fan of Christmas and doesn't spare any expense every year in decorating her $4.89million mansion in Nashville, Texas , for the festive season
However, some sided with Nicole.
'You can have lights up all year round if you want to. It's your home, there's no law against it so stuff the neighbours,' one fan weighed in.
'Lights up early? So what?' chimed in another.
The backlash comes after Nicole admitted to Stephen, 60, that she has had to 'apologise' to 'all the neighbours' for her extravagant decorating habits and for having her lights up for such a long time.
In fact, Nicole admitted that she would like to keep her Christmas lights up for the entire winter season, rather than just the month of December.
'We're negotiating now, calling them "winter lights",' she continued.
'I want to start a whole movement that allows ''winter lights'' to stay up… a ''light up your life'' movement.'
Nicole and her husband Keith Urban live with their two daughters Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 14, in a huge 20-room Nashville mansion.

Nicole's niece Lucia Hawley gave an insight into her famous aunt's Christmas decorations this year as she visited them in Texas (she is pictured with Nicole's daughter Sunday Rose)
Built on a 1115sqm estate, they shelled out $4.89million for the palatial property, which boasts seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms, back in 2008.
It also has lavish amenities including a tennis court, swimming pool, home theatre and 'hobby room'.
As well as their Nashville spread, Nicole and Keith also own a $6.77million home in Beverly Hills, and a $13.53million designer duplex in Chelsea, New York.
They also own properties Down Under, including a $6.5million farmhouse in the Southern Highlands and two penthouses in Milson's Point in Sydney, which they lease out.
The Kidman clan were recently visited in Texas by Nicole's Australian family as they jetted over to spend some quality time with them over the festive period.
Nicole's sister Antonia and nieces Lucia and Sybella Hawley both headed over to the United States earlier this month to catch up with their family.
Lucia, 26, who lives in Sydney, shared festive snaps from the holiday to her Instagram at the time as she documented the trip.
She was joined by her boyfriend Henry Poole for the trip, while Antonia's husband Craig Marran also jetted over with them.
Nicole's sister Antonia shares daughters Lucia and Sybella, 17, and two sons Hamish, 23, and James, 21, with late businessman Angus Hawley, who died in 2015.
She also has two younger sons Nicholas, ten, and Alexander, eight, with her second husband Craig.
