Hailee Steinfeld Denies Throwing Shade at Ex Niall Horan

The whole world is watching and Niall Horan is still dancing with Amelia “Mia” Woolley.

Ahead of the One Direction alum releasing his fourth studio album, Dinner Party, June 5, he explained how his girlfriend of five years not only inspired many of the project’s songs, but also some major changes in his personal life.

“I’m glad I found it,” he told GQ of his romance with Mia in an interview published March 19 . “She’s amazing and she’s got her own thing going on. I love the life that we’ve got.”

Considering Niall, now 32, was thrust into the spotlight when he was just 16 alongside bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne, meeting Mia gave him the chance to slow down and consider what he wants out of his future.

“Since I was a teenager, how my life has played out, I haven’t really had the chance, and I was probably young and maybe not ready,” he explained. “I felt ready once I met this person, and this was the first time I put down the roots, the house and the dog in bed.”

And since his life has changed so drastically since meeting Mia, the “Slow Hands” singer spelled out exactly how in tracks like “Dinner Party,” the upcoming single dropping March 20, as well as “Little More Time.” The latter song, he revealed, details a specific moment in his romance with Mia when he realized he wanted to create a quieter life with her.

We’d had a few drinks, we had a couple of friends over, and then they left and I was just like, ‘F--k, I have to leave tomorrow,’” Niall recalled. “The suitcase is getting packed again. I was like, ‘I don’t want to. I want to stay here with you and do what we do best, which is chilling and being at home.’”

In Mia, the “Heartbreak Weather” singer has found “someone to rant with and listen to and be listened to,” and he shared how the stars aligned in Dinner Party’s title track.

“The song itself is about the first time that I met my girlfriend,” Niall—who first stepped out with Mia in 2021—explained in a social media video March 2. “This is the first time I thought about like a bigger picture, like a once in a lifetime moment that actually changes you the direction of travel in life.”

As he put it, “That shock to your system, that makes you go, ‘Oh f--k, things are different now.’”
