Newly single Married At First Sight grooms Luke Fourniotis and Grayson McIvor were spotted out in Sydney ahead of what would become an ill-fated Commitment Ceremony.

The pair were joined by fellow groom Steven Danyluk and bride Stella Mickunaite, with the group seen stepping into a city building as filming continued for the hit reality TV series.

Despite their relationships unraveling behind the scenes, Luke and Grayson appeared upbeat as they arrived, putting on a brave face for the cameras.

All three grooms opted for slick casual ensembles for the outing.

Luke cut a relaxed figure in a fitted grey T-shirt and matching sweatpants, finishing his look with sneakers and a baseball cap.

Grayson, meanwhile, kept things sharp in a neutral-toned jacket layered over a simple top, paired with patterned shorts and trainers, while Steven opted for a similarly polished look in a black Nike jumper and matching shorts.

Co-star Stella was also spotted, and looked effortlessly chic in a figure-hugging red jumpsuit paired with a matching fluffy wraparound scarf.

Stella looked to be in great spirits and at one point was spotted warmly embracing her co-star Grayson, as they prepared to enter the building.

The sighting came before Sunday night's dramatic episode of MAFS, which saw multiple couples call time on their relationships.

Julia Vogl and Grayson decided to end their marriage during the third Commitment Ceremony after admitting their connection had failed to deepen.

The former journalist, 35, told the experts she had tried to form a romantic bond with Grayson, 35, but conceded that the spark was missing.

'I really took on your advice that kissing leads to more kissing. So we kissed a lot, but nothing unfolded from there. So I did a pulse check,' she said.

'Is there a burning desire here? I realised I didn't think the romantic side of this connection was really flourishing, so I wrote Grayson a letter, letting him know this wasn't the soul connection I came into this experiment for.'

Grayson admitted that continuing to force a connection would only cause more harm.

'The energy, the emotion, has just gone to waste! She is not physically or emotionally present. This has been recurring,' he said.

Julia later acknowledged they were not speaking the same love language, while Grayson wanted clear, black-and-white answers about their future.

'I call it nuanced, you call it vague. I just feel so unseen for what I put into this connection,' she said.

Grayson, visibly emotional, told the experts he felt unsupported and had reached breaking point.

'I am exhausted, I have nothing left in the tank. I gave it everything that I have got, and for that I am so proud. I am so shattered, I want love so bad,' he said through tears.

The pair both wrote 'Leave', officially exiting the experiment.

Elsewhere during the episode, Melissa Akbay and Luke Fourniotis also chose to end their marriage, describing their split as amicable.

'I couldn't have foreseen how hard this experiment would be,' Melissa told Luke.

'I am really happy I met Luke, I hope we can stay friends, but I have decided to Leave.'

Luke agreed they could continue seeing each other — just not romantically.

Freshly single but putting on a united front, Luke and Grayson were all smiles as they arrived in Sydney ahead of the tense ceremony — unaware that their marriages were about to come crashing down.
