Newly-single Jesy Nelson jokes she's 'not always a haggard old mum' as she shares sexy selfie following split from her fiancé Zion Foster

She's candidly shared her struggles with motherhood following her twins' heartbreaking diagnosis.

But Jesy Nelson joked she's 'not always a haggard old mum' as she posed for a glamorous selfie after having her makeup done.

The Little Mix star, 34, revealed earlier this month that her eight-month-old twins Ocean and Story have been diagnosed with a rare genetic condition, SMA Type 1, (Spinal Muscular Atrophy), which causes muscle weakness and atrophy, at birth.

Since then the star has campaigned tirelessly to introduce SMA testing for newborns at birth, as early treatment can reduce the long-term effects of the condition.

But following her split from her fiancé Zion Foster, a newly-single Jesy showed her ex what he was missing with a flawless social media snap.

She captioned her post: 'Not always a haggard old Mum thanks to my @zoejamesmakeup.'

After the diagnosis, Jesy and Zion, who got engaged in September 2025, reportedly split after three years together.

Their journey to parenthood is set to be documented in the former Little Mix's new Amazon documentary Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix, set to be released on February 13.

But despite the reports their relationship is over, Zion opened up about his and Jesy's 'rollercoaster' of a year on his Instagram on Friday.

Zion said the year had seen many 'traumatic' moments for them as a family and said he was praying for 'clarity, peace and growth'.

He wrote: 'It's finally here, coming to your screens via @primevideouk & @navybee.tv. The past year and a half has been a rollercoaster.

'When @jesynelson and I started this project we couldn't see the road ahead, but to see how it all played out and having it filmed simply feels like God's plan. The show is raw, authentic and honest.

'As a new family we were under immense pressure and stress. Alot of traumatic moments but nonetheless we made it here today. I believe this is only the beginning of our journey.

'Praying for clarity, peace and growth so we can continue to navigate the challenges we face; and give Ocean and Story the best support system possible. God's in control.'

Jesy reportedly split from Zion just weeks after revealing their eight-month-old twin daughters had been diagnosed with SMA.

The pair will remain 'united as co-parents' despite ending their romantic relationship.

A source said: 'She and Zion remain friends and are fully focused on their daughters.'

Before going on to tell The Sun: 'Their priority continues to be the well-being of their daughters.

'They are fully united in co-parenting'.

In the trailer for her documentary, Jesy broke down in tears as she revealed she 'always stayed quiet' about Little Mix because she was the one who chose to leave the band.

Alongside Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 34, Jade Thirlwall, 33, and Perrie Edwards, 32, Jesy catapulted to fame as part of Little Mix on The X Factor back in 2011.

But after winning the show, the singer was subject to vile trolling about her looks, which impacted her mental health - and she eventually quit the band in 2020.

Opening up about her departure, Jesy got emotional in a first look at her documentary Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix, ahead of its release on February 13.

The trailer opens with Jesy looking out to an empty stadium as she says: 'I have never spoken about this. I just always wanted to entertain people.

'It felt magical and then it very quickly isn't. I have just always stayed quiet because I was the one that left.'

A montage of clips play out from her Little Mix days, showing the star breaking down in tears and sitting out of group dance practice.

Their mentor Tulisa Contostavlos, 37, makes a cameo in the documentary and says of Jesy's struggle: 'When you want something so bad, you are always blind to the negatives.'

The docu-series covers the 'most painful' time of her life as it charters her journey to motherhood, with the star suffering pregnancy complications, including Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome and giving birth to twin daughters Ocean Jade and Story Monroe, who have been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA1).

In the trailer, Jesy's mother, Janice, comments after watching her daughter's terrifying pregnancy journey: 'If something was to go wrong now. I dread to think what it would be like' - unaware of what is to come.

Jesy said the documentary is so painful to watch following her twins' diagnosis.

Considered the most severe form of SMA, Type 1 symptoms - which typically appear in infancy - include extreme muscle weakness, difficulties swallowing and respiratory issues.

Jesy is now campaigning for SMA1 screening at birth and has started a petition to get the condition added to the newborn blood spot screening test, also known as the heel prick test.

A synopsis for the show reads: 'Expecting twins, Jesy opens up about the joy, vulnerability, and fear that comes with carrying two little lives.

'The series follows Jesy through the emotional rollercoaster of pregnancy complications, including Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome, a rare and potentially life-threatening condition.
