New Silo Teaser Confirms 1 Major Change For Rebecca Ferguson’s Character

1 hour ago 8

A new Silo season 3 teaser confirms a significant shift lies ahead of Rebecca Ferguson's Juliette. Towards the end of Silo season 2, Juliette returned home but almost lost her life after being trapped in Silo 18's decontamination chamber with Bernard. While Silo season 3's new trailers have confirmed she somehow survived her brush with doom, they hint at many major changes in her story.

The first trailer for Silo season 3 revealed that the upcoming installment will not merely focus on the politics inside Silo 18. Instead, like the second book, Shift, in Hugh Howey's original Silo trilogy, season 3 will also walk through the events of the past that led to everything from the construction of the silos to the destruction of the world.

Story details for Silo season 3 also revealed that Juliette will experience amnesia after the near-fatal incident from season 2's ending. As a new teaser confirms, this will not be the only major shift in her story. After winning the trust of her people in Silo season 2's ending chapter, Juliette will finally reap the benefits of her commitment to find the truth. Will her sacrifices still be worth it, though?

New Silo Teaser Hints Juliette Will Be Silo 18’s New Mayor

Rebecca Ferguson as Juliette Nichols in Silo season 3

In Silo season 3's latest teaser, Rebecca Ferguson's Juliete notices scars on her neck, which are likely the marks she sustained after being trapped in Silo 18's decontamination chamber. Moments later, a woman knocks on her room's door and refers to her as "Madam Mayor." This seems to confirm that Juliette will become Silo 18's new mayor.

Check out the teaser below:

While Bernard's fate after season 2's ending remains unknown, it makes sense that Juliette replaced him as the mayor. If he died from the fire in the decontamination chamber, Silo 18's citizens would undoubtedly want Juliette to take his place as their leading figure. Even if Bernard is still alive in season 3, he, too, would want Juliette to lead the way.

Towards Silo season 2's ending moments, Bernard, too, realizes that the people who created the silos never really cared about him or any other survivors. He was on the verge of leaving everything behind and escaping Silo 18. That is when Juliette gave him hope and assured him that she had found a way to save their people.

Since Juliette showed the courage to go against everyone and seek answers, Bernard would now likely encourage her to continue her quest instead of holding her back. Even Silo 18's citizens would almost unanimously elect her as their leader because she proved to them nothing in the outside world is as it seems.

What The Mayor Reveal Means For Rebecca Ferguson’s Character

Since it has been confirmed that Juliette will experience amnesia in Silo season 3, it is hard not to wonder how much she will remember from her past. To be able to lead the people of Silo 18, Juliette must remember at least something from earlier events. It seems unlikely that she recalls what Solo told her about the Safeguard Procedure in Silo season 2, which will likely become season 3's biggest conflict.

She will have to race against time to recall what she learned while facing stiff competition from the new hinted antagonist, Camille Sims. If Bernard is still alive, he will likely help her regain her lost memories before it is too late for them and their people.

As the mayor, Juliette might also get access to a whole new set of secrets and resources in Silo 18. Lukas, too, will likely tell her about his encounter with the Algorithm and the mysterious voice that warned him in Silo 18's tunnels. With so much left to unwrap in just two more seasons, Apple TV's Silo is about to get incredibly enthralling in season 3.
